AU 2086 Daily Tasks 4/1/2014   • Added the April training sessions and training seminars to the main adilas website.
• Recording notes.
• On the phone with Steve talking about different options. We talked about funding, interns, projects, and sales. We are going through a critical point and things are going to be tight. Lots of potential and things lined up in the wings. We need to get more sales or have our clients and future clients help us fund these projects. There is definitely a squeeze right now but we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
• Talking with a developer and going over the new game plan. We talked about pay rates, hours, custom projects, future raises, etc. Our goal is to help supplement his hours with paying customer projects.
• On the phone with my mom going over recipes and builds. We also touched on PO’s and invoices and how they play in. She is doing great.
• Talking with a developer about new changes to the adilas game plan. Similar talk with this developer as I had with the other about hours, raises, and doing customer funded projects.
• Talking with my wife about new changes and plans.
• Working on Lynda.com training stuff. Watching videos and looking at stuff my dad has made to help with video highlights for some customer commercials (Highland Vineyard & The Mixing Bowl).

AU 2110 Daily Ideas 4/1/2014   -Set up a master corp id for adilas news and updates. This may also require a mapping to a template id or template list. This data should be recorded on the main top-secret application page. That is where all of the other universe settings are currently held.
-Finish one project at a time. A fox that chases two rabbits catches neither. Sometimes that is hard advice to follow.
-Maybe have the database store the configuration pieces vs. in-line hardcoded values. Make the configurations more dynamic. Instead of just holding settings… think clear out to the configuration level. Maybe even use JSON objects to hold those settings. That is a way to store pieces without forcing every little thing into a perfect database column or row. Store the whole configuration object.
-On a different note, have the configuration files use defaults if params are not present. We could also use a dump to show a more visually interpreted display of the data. We could also use a basic hardcoded form to help people repopulate and create their configuration settings and files.
-What if you had a configuration file – stored in the database as an object – for each main section. This could really be used to help with in-line custom code. The hardcoded human readable form could help users interpret the settings and results.
-Your Data, Your World, Your Way! – New tag line for adilas.
-Go get it! Game on!

AU 2784 April 2014 Monthly Recap 4/1/2014   This month invested a great deal of time, from multiple developers, on the media/content server and the adilas API. Lots of work has needed to be done to open the door for the adilas API, or application programming interface. An analogy adilas uses for the API is that it's like creating a socket outlet or power strip that will allow other applications, businesses, or players to plug in, connect, and function with adilas. No matter what is being powered on the other end, if the connection is created, you can potentially combine an unlimited scope of tools for the customized functionality you need. This piece of adilas will continue to grow and bring more and more capacity, customization, options, and adaptability for adilas user accounts.

The media/content continues to be a big project focus right now. Lots of testing on code for sign off occurred this month, as well as cascading links and permissions for media/content throughout the site. Adilas is also working to transition the developers to more client funded custom projects. This approach is just another piece that helps the entire adilas application to keep moving forward. While lots of brainstorming, research, planning, and other methods are also continually employed to always work toward the goal of helping adilas to continue moving forward.

A few other highlights from this month were that state tax payroll withholding's were completed for Georgia, Arizona, and Utah. The deposits and quotes photo galleries were completed along with a W-9 pdf Taxpayer Identification form. This month's free adilas training session was held in Denver. This month also featured our first ever client spotlight for Highland Vineyards out of Colorado! This 3 minute video clip can be watched on the adilas YouTube channel showing how this client uses their adilas. We hope to have more client spotlights coming in the future!

*We hope you are enjoying the adilas developer's notebook! Please utilize and explore the vast search capabilities of adilas to find more information throughout the developer's notebook. For further questions, or help, please feel free to contact us at: support@adilas.biz.

AU 2113 Daily Ideas 4/5/2014   -On adilas API (application programming interface) and 3rd party solutions, maybe do a just in time database storage solution. Basically, have a master list and then loop over that list to see if that window/door has been accepted and/or virtually opened. The thought here is not every corporation or business will use these features. A zero (0) record count could then mean a closed or shut window/door. By default, a zero record count would be the default setting for the API calls. A positive record count, with matching security params would indicate an open door and/or window.

AU 2090 Daily Tasks 4/7/2014   • Add a new logo for a client.
• Recording expenses.
• On the phone with Steve going over current projects and funding options. We spent quite a bit of time talking about interns and getting them projects to work on. Part way through, I handed the phone over to one of the developers so that he could chat with Steve about some tax related questions.
• Recording expenses and setting up Bridgerland days for this month.
• Working on the backend pieces for the adilas API. Ran into a problem when converting between ColdFusion, text, quotes, and JSON objects.

AU 2114 Daily Ideas 4/7/2014   -Circle back around and checkout the already received answers to prayers.
-Lots of good answers to prayers in the April general Conference talks this past weekend. Review the front section of this notebook. That is where I recorded my Conference notes.
-Check your email less often. Instead of every 10-15 minutes, maybe check it every hour or two. Add a bigger gap so that I can get some work done.
-Allow the eCommerce section of adilas to use the corporation key aliases as well as the traditional corporation key value with the letters, a dash, and the corporation id number.

AU 2115 Daily Ideas 4/8/2014   -For me… Just keep going – you have a good plan and it is written down. That is huge! Just keep going. If we can’t get to it yet, at least write it down and we’ll circle back around. This is basically a way to pave the road for future projects.
-At some point, it would be nice to add an adilas forum (using elements of time) and let users comment on different things.
-For our own internal projects… we need to figure out a system that helps us go from water, to slush, to ice on our own projects. See elements of time #1762 inside of adilas university site for more details. (8/30/13)
-Notes from April 2014 General Conference. Lots of good answers to prayers.
-Circle back and do what has already been revealed. Go back through my notebook and make sure things are done and cleaned up. This will provide some peace of mind.

Notes from a phone call with Steve and with an adilas rep out of Denver:

- We need to help build a set of standardized spreadsheets to help with data imports and import tools. We are thinking about vendors, users, items, customers, and maybe financial accounts.
- Angle for sales… If people want something, they’ll pay for it. This helps us get what we need.
- On imports… we need a price structure which will help us to regain funds for using it.
- User and consultant levels… building it vs. operating it – big difference and some people get it and some people don’t get it. There are different levels. Our goal is to help where possible.
- The rep has a need to migrate adilas data from one system to another. Basically, cut off an old system and start completely new or fresh. Think about selling a business. They want to keep some of the old and then be able to start new.
- Application flex grid – getting data from other systems – including data from adilas to adilas.
- It is all about “interconnectivity”.
- Having a fresh start or fresh re-start of a business is worth some money. Pull only certain pieces as needed to the new system. It would also be cool if certain users still had access to the old system.
- A new start could be compared to a snake shedding its skin. This would be virtual pieces that need to be broken off. As businesses change, their needs change, and the way that they do business changes. We need to be able to flow with them to that new level.
- There will be more and more demands for the API (application programming interface) as we go along. The goal will be to mix and blend as needed.
- Packaging is still a very hot topic with some of these customers. Packaging meaning subs of parts and items. Package controls and package monitoring.
- For 3rd part plug-ins and standalone snap-on extensions. We need to have some sort of “pay to play” type agreements. This could be development costs or a commission or kickback structure.
- We need to present our future projects to the public so that we can create awareness and get community funding for those projects. Think of water, slush, and ice to get the jobs done. On adilas university, reference elements of time #1762 on 8/30/13 for more details.
- Elements of time was added to the system because we found that our future growth depended on it. Well, it’s time to move forward with some of those needs.
- I’m seeing a need to get all of our research and plans posted for others to see. Some people may not care a bit for what we offer. Others may really enjoy and gain great knowledge from what we offer in concept, principles, and in practice. The cool thing is that we have applied tons of these different pieces over the years. That is awesome.
- For Steve, we may want to open up all three servers for adding new accounts.

AU 2092 Daily Tasks 4/9/2014   • Recording notes from a Conference call yesterday.
• Opening up all servers to be able to add new corporations.
• Uploading and testing adilas API calls for Full Circle Interactive Media. API code work was done by one of the adilas developers. Posted existing files.
• Went in to Bridgerland to work with the developers. Answered some emails and then worked with one of the developers on the media/content project. We started taking things clear out to the API level on the content stuff.
• I helped a developer with a small problem with the new merchant gateway. I gave him access to all servers through FTP. We actually had to do some testing on our live servers to check SSL connections.
• A developer and I finished up the day prepping for the actual API call between the content server and the adilas data servers. Good session. 30 miles.

AU 2093 Daily Tasks 4/10/2014   • Went in to Bridgerland to work with a developer on the media/content project. We added an API call for the remote uploads. The API call hits the database on the data server and then reports back to the content server. Lots of path and file manipulation stuff.
• Another contact was at Bridgerland as well and we had a couple good sessions with him as well. He is working on a marketing strategy for adilas. We talked about existing clients, their wants, their needs, and also future potential feeder sources. These feeder sources are things like schools, computer stores, merchant processing places, and consultants. These industries could use adilas for themselves plus feed new clients to us. He took some pictures of our whiteboard sessions.

• After lunch, we did an hour long session talking about selling digital content through adilas. This deals with eCommerce, customers, invoices, items, payments, media/content, elements of time, and fully connecting all of the pieces. We did another whiteboard session to talk about the ways to do and track subscription type businesses that have digital content and how to track those things. Good stuff.
• A developer and I ended the day moving uploaded files and content out of the upload folder and into more secure permanent storage areas. This also included changing stored file names to add additional security. Great progress on the media/content pieces. 30 miles.
• Went over to the Cache Business Resource Center for the weekly demo. My brother and his wife came to the demo. We ended up doing the demo on a church scenario with offerings and welfare issues. Interesting demo. Towards the end of the demo my brother and his wife switched to a different mode and started asking us about sales and how to push things forward. My brother is very good at sales but is very busy. It was fun to see his brain switch to a sales mode. He gave me some advice and we spent the last half an hour talking about options and direction. We definitely need to move towards getting these things out there and getting a return on our time and investment. Good demo.

AU 2116 Daily Ideas 4/10/2014   -Our system and product is very dynamic and organic. Two of our biggest strong points are the dynamics and the diversity.
-Maybe make adilas into a free ware – type solution. It is currently a producing idea farm.
-Quote from my brother – “God gets His work done through His people. He gets His people done through His work.” God is such a master teacher! So awesome!

Adi 854 Tie in from the Logs to the Elements of Time 4/11/2014   Thanks Ralph,

The elements of time feature is very cool. I've been playing around with it a little bit.

Your answer definitely helped, though I'm wondering about some additional functionality. Basically, instead of actually creating an element of time manually, is there a way to set it up so that if I create a follow up time and date in a customer log, it will automatically show up on the calendar. Or automatically create an element of time for us. Does that make sense?

Enjoy the weekend!

Thanks,

Dustin

Adi 855 Special Search for RFID Tags 4/11/2014   if you want to build a page that does a three-way search, I could plug it in and get that quick search option up and online. The new page would need the following:

1. A search field that allows for RFID tag numbers to be searched (standalone mini search that submits itself back to the same page).

2. It needs to search all existing items that have a matching RFID tag number. Possible many.

3. It needs to search all existing PO line items with matching RFID tag numbers. Possible many.

4. It needs to search all existing invoice line items with matching RFID tag numbers. Possible many.

5. It would be nice if it tries to do some math and says yes or no on being fully tracked.

Once we get that page done, we could then add the quick search option and make a new permission and populate the quick search with the new setting.

AU 2094 Daily Tasks 4/11/2014   • Emails and follow up.
• Went in to Bridgerland to meet with a gentleman who has been participating in training and helping brainstorm sales and marketing. We did some whiteboard sessions and brainstormed lots of sales and marketing ideas. He has a gift and is very good. He has also done some research and is a natural leader. He is also quite tech savvy. We talked about approaching new clients by addressing their problems or needs. Basically, where is your trouble, or I bet you are having trouble with _______ (fill in the blank if known)? From there, after we address the trouble, we also say, we can do this and this and this as a bonus. We spent quite a bit of time talking about our current model and how it spreads.

We talked about how some of our greatest reps have worked for a company and then branched off on their own. We talked about ways to improve and continue that trend. We also talked about feeder systems and how that helps the project keep going. We talked about investors, flyers, communication, etc. We also spent some time looking at interface options and how we could literally build any dynamic engine and then skin it as needed. We looked at LTF (Learn to Freeride), the old Morning Star Site, MDI (Moore Digital Ideas, the GEO tourism site, and the interactive promo for Bridgerland. All are dynamic template driven engines.

We also talked about changing the model from paying for the product vs. a free product and then paying for the hosting, processing, and storage. Basically, switching from the program to a paid service fee for usage and support of the product. We also spent quite a bit of time talking about byproducts that adilas naturally creates and produces. Great session. 30 miles.
• Went over to a developer’s house to work with him on state tax withholdings. We reworked some Georgia calculations and then started working on Utah withholdings. 10 miles.

AU 2117 Daily Ideas 4/11/2014   -This contact and I were talking about firefighting and how dynamic a fire is and /or could be. He shared a small acronym that they use for fires. I thought that it applies to adilas because it is so dynamic and changing:
- L – Lookout
- C – Communications
- E – Escape
- S – Safe Zones
-The trick is that things are dynamic, so as things change, the lookout, communications, escape, and safe zones may change also. Both he and I drew a number of analogies to what we are doing with adilas. We really need to set up a communication system. Elements of Time is a great place to help with that.
-Fix the MSAI website so that we can show the inventory online as a demo site.

AU 2118 Daily Ideas 4/12/2014   From two sketches – showing traditional tracking methods within a business vs. adilas:

Traditional Company Organization:

- Independent modules & departments
- “Mash-up” systems from different vendors
- Independent systems struggle to talk and work together
- Enter same data in multiple places
- Bounce between multiple systems to get the full story

Adilas System Organization:

- Systemized modules & departments
- Major boost to communications and internal/external efficiencies
- What is your time worth?

-What are your data points?
-Where are your entry points?
-We have and offer the tools and platform to get you up and running. Piece of cake!
-All you need is a computer or device with Internet options.
-Use elements of time for file stuff. Meaning who has the last cookie.
-Use elements of time for funded customer projects. Maybe call the template the developer’s queue.
-Use elements of time for news and updates. Allow anybody who has adilas elements of time to add entries to the news and updates page.
-Maybe show the developer’s queue to the public. This could be good. I could also see it as a negative. I guess we need to show it in a light of what is wanted and what is coming. Keep it positive.

AU 2120 Daily Ideas 4/15/2014   -Add additional vendors to expense/receipts. Most often it will be just one extra vendor but it might be more than one. Either way, it would be cool if they both (vendor/payees) would be searchable. I could see this for reporting and look-ups later on.

AU 2099 Daily Tasks 4/17/2014   • New logo for a client.
• On the phone with Steve for 45 minutes getting an update on projects and upcoming needs. Lots of talk about current client needs and direction on where we are going. Lots of neat things are happening. It is exciting!
• Went in to Bridgerland to work with a developer on the media/content project. We had a good talk about setting up an adilas base camp and then doing smaller side hikes from there. See other notes below for more details. He and I worked on some CSS (cascading style sheets) and some round trip editing on the media/content project. Lots of testing and signing off on code. Even tested first files on remote live servers. Another intern came to work with the developers and myself. He is working on the adilas User Guide files in HTML. 30 miles.
• Went over the Cache Resource Center to do the weekly demo. My sister and I had a good chat about new developments and direction. We started out the demo by showing some of the new graphics to show the business functions. My brother came to the demo and I showed the two of them some of the new pieces. They both gave some great feedback on graphics and direction. Because my brother was the one there at the demo, we gave him a two hour tour and demo based on what he wanted to see. He also helped us out by giving us tons of good ideas about marketing and selling the product. See notes later on for details and ideas. He is a stud!

AU 2121 Daily Ideas 4/17/2014   -“Find a base camp and setup some anchors!” – adilas developer
-We had a good discussion about new features in adilas. A developer related growth in a business to climbing a big mountain. You climb to a certain level and then you rebuild supplies and setup a base camp. You then acclimate to the elevation. You do smaller side hikes but you don’t make the next real push until you are ready.
-The developer also had some great analogies about armies, war, supply chains, supply lines, strategies, etc. You build a base and then coordinate attacks from there.
-We need to establish an adilas base camp! This doesn’t have to be forever, meaning staying here, but we need to setup some anchors. This will help with peace of mind as well.

-Notes for me from Conference 4/5/14 to 4/6/14 for all of the notes, go back to that section in the front of this notebook.
-Help adilas users make their own reports and buttons. Let them save, assign, and name their own settings.
-Do emails every hour vs. every 10-15 minutes.
-Setup adilas so that it could do family history.
-Full time-based program that is capable of doing full dispatch functions.

-Notes from my sister – story from President Uchtdorf – Dealing with flying a plan and going through turbulence, some newer pilots think, if I go faster, I’ll get through it faster, but the actual best thing to do is to slow down to the optimal speed to get through it. (Summarized from “Of Things That Matter Most” – Pres. Uchtdorf)
-Idea from my sister – Get funding before we start on projects. That may take planning, but it will help to set expectations, timelines, and budgets. This may not apply to small projects but then again maybe it should.

Notes from a brainstorming session between my brother, sister and myself while at an adilas weekly demo session:

- “Layered sounds bytes” – think mini segments.
- We are breaking tradition and let us show you how. People love this. Help to set the stage.
- We take normal old data entry to the sci-fi level.
- Showing the data entry to the sci-fi level and how the data relationships crisscross and interconnect.
- Most people use tons of different systems… that in and of itself is a huge pain. The systems could be index cards, paper files, notebooks, folders, dockets, Excel files, Word docs, database systems, and tons of different software packages.
- Let people solve their own problems by talking. They may even sell themselves by vocalizing those thoughts.
- Write things down and then go back over them. This helps pull things back into memory.
- From my sister – The process of recording things actually brings far more light, truth, ideas, connections, and further insight.
- Also from my sister – Trying to express your thoughts, ideas and inspiration into words brings the opportunity for far more understanding and learning. Sometimes we even learn more on the 2nd & 3rd go around. Good stuff.
- Focus on potential vs. process.
- From my brother – Show lots of scenarios, show existing (and traditional) limitations and how we can help.
- Most people say – why can’t this do ______ (fill in the blank)? We all have needs, trouble, or frustrations… Well, you can do that and let me show you how!
- As a matter of fact, we can show you how you can do all of these other things you could do plus this and that. We can also help to automate 50% or more of that task.
- Where are your points of entry??? Here, here, here, etc. What does each station do? Is any of that process part of the same data? Wouldn’t it be cool if you could pass things along so that you didn’t have to keep recording the same thing.
- Get the cool, graphical, slick interface in place. That will help a ton.
- Show how manageable this program is… simplicity and understand-ability.
- We can make this look just like you want it. Maybe even show some snapshots of different interfaces.
- We could even make it look like their old system and then add the powerful search capabilities of adilas.
- Tailor-ability – customizable – you control it!
- Use info graphics – think of 1,000 words in a series of graphics. No words required.
- Cater the demos specifically to the audience. Keep it laser focused.
- Show case what we have done to help other clients. Show what our clients have done with our system.

AU 2100 Daily Tasks 4/18/2014   • Working on and testing the content server on live servers. Lots of remote uploads and small code tweaks. Tested files for Excel, PDF, Word, and images. Also tested remote references to Google Drive, YouTube, and others. Good stuff.
• Phone calls and tech support. Spoke with a doctor about tracking certain data points. This would be making tests and quizzes online and then tracking progress and usage over time. This would be related to courses and learning materials. We also talked about grading and how we could maybe help him out with a custom adilas solution. Gave him a light quote between $1,000 - $2,000. See additional notes for more information.
• Emails.
• Recording notes from loose pages into my notebook.
• New logos for clients.
• Getting some training stuff ready for an intern. Gave him login info to Lynda.com to brush up on code skills.
• Working on icons to show the different levels on the GPS Core graphic. They are sub homepages, reports and search options, and individual data level.

AU 2122 Daily Ideas 4/18/2014   -Follow the map! –My father. If you are lost, go back and follow the map. We have tons of great information contained in our notebooks. That is our map. We need to follow it!
-Make little helper icons to help show the different levels. We have a core or hub, sub homepages (maybe a little house), reports and search options (maybe some pages or reports), and finally the individual object or data level (maybe some people or data stuff).
-We had a request to store and hold custom payroll report settings per corporation. That is another in-line custom code request. I’m predicting, but I’ll bet we will end up getting more and more of those types of requests as we go along. This payroll report request was made by a gentleman on behalf of another client.
-Contact a lady that was working on graphics to see where she is at. We have some new options that could help her out with the media/content project almost being done.

Notes after talking to a Doctor who is trying to track tests and quizzes (education stuff):

- We could make a sub of elements of time for tests, quizzes, and surveys. We could name them, build them, and then use these values like a template for the actual results. We could tie to time, sub dates and time, students, customers, employees, etc. We could use flex grid, media/content, pools (groups of quizzes), etc.
- As a note, the option to tie pools (predefined groups) to time: what if we added pre-defined groups of media/content, tests, quizzes surveys, photos, etc.
- Continued note about pools and predefined groups – what if we allowed any object inside of adilas, to be tied to a pool or group and then allow for options to control assignments to and from time in bulk. Feeder pools.
- It would be really cool to be able to duplicate time quickly and to a sub or deeper level if needed. This might involve some java script or fancy footwork to make it dance.
- Back on the test & quizzes…. Set up a main and then add master questions and answers. Add as many as needed in a one-to-many relationship. Maybe even have the user select the number of questions they would need. Then show that many records and let them fill out the form in bulk. Once submitted, only add as many rows as needed. Make it dynamic. This could also include dynamic data types, names, defaults, and other database parameters. Almost a virtual database tool within the adilas system. Build your own database tool. Let users build as many different tables as they need. As long as it was tied to one of the other existing tables, it could have a host or buddy.
- Another request to have grouped payroll and paycheck stub reports. This would be grouped by employee and then departments for each employee or grouped by department and then by employee. I could see it different ways. Either way, more grouped reports would be awesome!

AU 2103 Daily Tasks 4/22/2014   • Emails and tech support stuff.
• Went to the first day of the adilas training course in Denver. We had a number of people come for the different sessions. The morning started out with a sales and inventory tracking session. Tensions seemed high at first. Over time and by lunch time things were much better. Some of the frustrations were dealing with lack of knowledge and volume of tasks placed upon the users. We needed more training time for the sales and inventory tracking segments. We covered CRM (Customer Relationships Management) and also CMS (Content Management Systems). We showed some options that are part of the new content server. We showed some live pieces and the developer got to teach about the content server. All pieces were live. We still have some more to do but it was awesome to show some potential of what is coming.

AU 2124 Daily Ideas 4/22/2014   Ideas on discounts from a class participant:
- Give discounts and then calculate sales tax. Maybe have an inline discount per item. If you do that, then the system would know how much to give you. The reason for this entry is that discounts are currently reversed out at a single tax rate. That is fine and good assuming that all items are taxed the same. The problem comes about when you have variable tax rates with multiple pieces or items per ticket or invoice. If we offered an in-line discount we could take care of mixed tax rates and such.

AU 2104 Daily Tasks 4/23/2014   • Emails and teach support.

• Went to day two of the adilas training seminar. We started out on payroll and timecards and then needed to extend that session even further. There was a guy that was really trying to soak things in. He wants to be an adilas consultant. As the day progressed we spent quite a bit of time talking about time and project management. We have a lot of potential to help with dispatch, time, rentals, reservations, and scheduling. Round two of elements of time will be coming soon.

Another fun topic was showing naturally forming relationships inside of the system. Lots of drawing on the map and GPS core graphics. By the end of the day, we only had small one-on-one groups going. So, a developer and I worked on photo gallery stuff. As a fun note, after lunch, the developer spent quite a bit of time talking to some of the class participants. They were all together and represented an accounting firm. He was very personal and was building good relationships of trust. It was interesting to see how the day started off in bulk or groups and ended with multiple one-on-one sessions. I think it was very good for those who attended.

• Went out to Littleton, CO to see our friends at Highlands Vineyard. We went to their store and got a tour and such. Good stuff.

AU 2125 Daily Ideas 4/23/2014   -We have had some requests for bulk payroll options. This would be spreadsheet type entry and then bulk inserts into the database.
-While working with a client that works on larger projects… we talked about timelines for projects (visual dispatch), photo timelines or progress reports, and using adilas to feed customer front ends – like we do for another client that does custom home building. Project tracking.

Notes from another client:
- On PO’s – make the items received status set to yes as a default.
- On expense/receipts and vendors, set up the default expense types per vendor. This is partially done right now but just needs a little bit of loving.
- Maybe add a setting to show a counter sale that is short paid or has a payment mismatch. Maybe help prompt the users and sales staff.
- There seems to be a problem (for them) when creating a deposit. It still works, it just takes quite a while. Basically, the main deposit gets created but it struggles to pull all of the outstanding invoice payments that need to be deposited. It seems really slow and needs to be optimized or put on its own table.

AU 2105 Daily Tasks 4/24/2014   • Went to day three of the adilas training seminar. We started out the day going over some history and reports. We then switched gears and did a step by step setup of a corporation. We catered the entire day to the people from the accounting firm.

My sister was teaching the class, I was helping with flow, and the developer was sitting right by them to help them follow along. It was a super fun tag team effort. The people in our class really enjoyed it and it was really fun. Good stuff. It was interesting to see how each day started off in bulk or groups and then ended by helping individuals directly with their needs. Great training session. As a side note, Ms. Shari was a huge help and sat with one of the ladies for two days straight to help her get a handle on things. It was fun to help and see people helping other people.

AU 2126 Daily Ideas 4/24/2014   -On the training seminars – Leave that last 1.5 hours as an open work session.
-On the training seminars – maybe double up on sales, inventory tracking, POS (Point of Sale) functions. Another one that needs quite a bit is payroll and timecards. Another one is backend office and accounting functions.
-Maybe change the order of what gets covered in the training course.
-During one of the demos we had the following questions…. This was dealing with a restaurant type industry:
• How do we track inventory without cost of goods?
• How do we categorize COGS without pulling in items from invoice settings? Interesting questions.
-We need to map things out for reps, consultants, and users. How do the different pieces play together?
-We need to certify our reps and consultants. This could include required training. Help standardize what they are teaching.
-If someone wanted to offer tech support packages, that could be a great revenue and profit center.
-When possible (time and money) we need to automate the tax liabilities for both payroll and withholdings as well as sales tax stuff. This needs to go clear to the P&L and balance sheet levels.
-Setup a standard setup document or procedure just like what we did for day 3 of the adilas training course. Help people walk through things step by step.

AU 2106 Daily Tasks 4/25/2014   • Working with my sister and a developer on ideas and numbers.
• Went in to Steve’s house for a team meeting. We had a group discussion and whiteboard session. Steve and I took turns at the whiteboard and running the meeting. Lots of ideas from the group. There was a lot of focus on training, sales, consulting, and new and upcoming projects.
• After the team meeting, Steve and I spent the rest of the afternoon working on a new project to capture and hold custom report and button settings. We built new tables and talked about the power of saving custom setting. This is our first attempt to harness existing pages using dynamic settings stored as objects. This will end up being part of the adilas build my own reports and buttons sections. Good stuff!

AU 2127 Daily Ideas 4/25/2014   -Idea from my sister – Do custom classes and charge $25 per seat. This would be custom topics and custom catered classes.
-Have people pre-pay for custom code.
-Get businesses to beat the street for us – referral program.
-Lots of options for custom interfaces.

-Notes from team meeting on 4/25/14.
Triangle Sketch: Each on one side: Sales, Training, Consulting
o Consulting – Hourly plus commission
o Sales – Bird dog fee plus commission
o Training – Free
-Help fund the training at adilas training centers. Maybe hold back a portion of the monthly fees and use that to help with training.
-Setup adilas world – place where people could virtually shop for adilas supported products and services.
-Setup adilas university – place where people can learn about adilas, tools, features, functions, scenarios, concepts, and history.
-Add to the developer’s queue for projects. Think water, slush, snow, to ice (stages of the different projects).

AU 2130 Adilas Team Meeting Notes 4/25/2014   APRIL ADILAS TEAM MEETING NOTES: Friday April 25th

-Do we need to reach out near the end of the year to help clients be reconciled and in balance? That may be something we need to think of, so we don't have panic mode from anyone at the end of the year.
-We need some sort of setup help, education and training for all new clients. Setup and training - set people up for success.
-Hands on time with clients to help them get up and running.
-We need to come up with some specific training for ....
-Industry specific training sessions???
-Would it be beneficial to have a place to setup and have people there - an open forum type setting to help clients.
-Or do we need to offer custom classes and charge per seat?
-Adilas training store - adilas training center - even like a little space in a shopping mall, you could even have hardware, POS system plugins etc., and have the opportunity to teach classes, have one on one, consult, etc., etc.

-We also may need to put up a list of things we recommend to plug and play with - to help filter some of the questions
-Our current model is that we are kind of trying to do 3 jobs - consulting, training, and sales.... everyone doing all of the jobs
-But maybe our new model needs to be something more like: consultants, sales, and training all as different jobs/aspects
-Project management for custom code and future projects - moving to some sort of an approval process
-Washington DC Payroll taxes - we need up next - already funded - project going to a developer who has already been working on payroll taxes
-Industry specific custom interfaces - there is a need for that within industries - we still want that flexibility and ability to create a generic option to use throughout that industry.... but it would be great to make custom interfaces and custom code projects per client - because that is where the need really is
-API interfaces - having clients fund the projects - maybe even a standard customization per industry and then the option for custom interface, custom anything per client - that they pay for
-Developer's Queue - put it in the system, they can even self attribute themselves there, funding from the clients, approval process, submissions, etc.
-Custom training -

-Internal projects (which we internally prioritize, etc.), industry specific projects, custom projects per client specifically
-Adilas World - an internal project we may need very soon
-Custom interfaces, etc - Craig had a great analogy - he was saying you buy a car from a manufacturer - core adilas - what we do. But it is like taking your car to a custom car shop and getting custom wheels, custom paint, custom etc., etc. The client is still paying monthly payments to the manufacturer (adilas) but they are also paying money for their custom pieces (developers).
-Adilas fee for adilas world - subscription for adilas world
-Users group - crowd sourcing funding, participate in the users group for the development of new features which the user group prioritizes. But you could also have them fund it, or it could dictate when you have enough people that are willing to pitch in to that project and when you finally have the funding there. Then that project can start being worked on.
-What do we need to help adilas clients succeed?
-What do we need to do to map it out? To help them understand and accomplish what they need?
-Consultants - hourly + commission
-Sales - need a bird dog fee + a piece of the commission

-Training - right now is free - it needs to be part of the product - it has to hold hands for it to work
-Training Center - fund a client training center from a certain amount of the monthly fees for the client center - basically a new expense for adilas to help pay for the training that needs to happen (a certain % from clients in that area)
-If they pay for the product they get the training - training center - this is probably better for training all around - it is hard to train someone at their place of business. The training is free but they are still responsible for getting themselves down to the training center - but it is there for them to access for their training
-Training for that town or area - someone that could pick that up for that area
-Certifications for our training - to an adilas standard - but get someone that can help setup that training center
-We need to come up with some kind of a model that works in these metropolitan areas for clients to get in and get the training they need and be able to accomplish that
-At some point we may even get to where we have a center manager that adilas pays
-Advertising
-Enterprise tools for pennies

-It would be great if we could dial in on some of these distinctions between sales, consulting, and training, etc.
-Because our prices are so affordable - it creates a barrier to entry for others - so how can we help get these people trained and supported so that they are successful?
-Incentivize clients bringing on other clients and sales, or potentially a season pass approach, 10% off when you pay for your year up front, etc.
-Hosting & processing fees - so basing all of the pricing off of hosting, storage, etc. So really basing it on user use.
-We win with volume
-Funding future projects - is it time to draw a line in the sand? And projects from here on out, do they get funded?
-We need packaging/batching - and probably very quickly
-Price tag & pledge for upcoming pieces - that way the users/clients can really help dictate what they want by what they are willing to pay for
-Also show the customers what the whole price tag really is for that - but then say we will lift off after "this" amount, that way they also see how much input and development really is involved, and they may be more willing to help and input pieces to contribute to the process
-Packaging, Batching & Package Control, Conversions, Actual Costing/Pricing - these are all part of that packaging piece
-Queue - Content server up in the next week, then Adilas World & with Adilas World bate the first project with a $5,000 price tag for packaging - that is the order/plan for the next couple weeks

-To do list:
*Content Server
*Adilas World
*Packaging - batching, conversion, actual pricing, quick search,
*Discounts

-Adilas stores - training centers - if we can get the right person in some of these training centers - someone who can see the vision
-Additional training - free training
-If we could get to the point where some of these training centers are funded - that would be so fantastic, really helpful
-A lot could happen if we could get some training centers up and running
-Categorizing training that we already have done - categorizing and summarizing for easy use of the training videos
-Adilas University could be the leader for these training centers - training the trainers
-Hey I want to be the adilas university of - Chicago, Denver
-What if we even sold the adilas university as a franchise???

-You get it, you run it, but you must meet our certifications and our standards, you pay to get this setup, maybe you can get funded again from client base in that area
-Setup with a consultant/training - like Shari that can really help them get up and running correctly
-When a new person comes on - see if there is an offsite place we can meet or someone that can take care of your business so that you can meet them elsewhere so you can get some focused time on adilas
-Even a day can just help get the clients started and going in the right direction
-Start off with the right principles and practices
-Take the time to set things up the right way and get them into a position where they have the ability to run and move forward
-Setup/consultants, but we also want to have bookkeepers or someone that we could pass some of these clients off to, so they can help run some of these things for clients. That way key players can unload some of their plates.
