AU 3777 Daily Tasks 4/1/2015   • Emails and phone call with Steve.
• Finished up the Oregon State taxes. Went in to Bridgerland to work with interns. Uploaded taxes and tested different servers. Also made a small change on DC state withholdings. 30 miles.
• Working with an intern on the API documentation project. He would type and I would tell him what it (the documentation) should say. I also worked with an intern on saving report settings using JSON objects.
• My sister came by and we went over some questions. We did some report debugging and posted new files online. I was able to talk to my sister and even vent a little bit. Nothing major, just letting off some steam. She also gave me some reports on clients and their needs. Sometimes it helps to talk things through with someone.
• Working on code to show the community funded projects. Working with a subset of elements of time.

AU 3780 Daily Ideas 4/1/2015   -Comment from my sister – dealing with how much effort to put into the community funded projects page. I was worried about graphics and perfect flow. She said, “If people are starving or hungry, they may not care about the presentation and how it looks, they just want it.” Anyway, that helped me come to some decisions on what to do. Think work in progress.

AU 3778 Daily Tasks 4/2/2015   • Went in to Bridgerland to work. Spent the first little while working with an intern on splitting up main invoice tables and invoice payment tables. This is a mini surgery in the mist of the bigger database split up and World Building project. 30 miles.
• On the phone with interns going over code to add the social security number to customer records. I was at Bridgerland with one of interns and the other was joining us from home because he was sick. We worked on the code to add the new filed and then to encrypt the data for storage.
• Working with an intern on splitting out databases and invoice payments. I worked with another intern on saving report settings into JSON for later use.
• Back on a phone call and GoToMeeting session with the two interns.
• Working on new code to help cascade new fields and changes around the system. As a funny note, part way through the afternoon, the fire alarm went off. We evacuated the building. The college was on Spring Break so hardly anyone was on the campus. So, once outside, me and my interns, my guys, we got a Frisbee and played catch in the parking lot until the fire alarm went off. It was really fun and made everybody in a slap stick and funny mode. Good stuff.

AU 3781 Daily Ideas 4/2/2015   -I want to create a flavor of “pioneering” & “innovating”. Maybe something like – Pioneering new trails through new terrain or something like that. I want to make it fun. It also needs to be okay if it isn’t done and perfect. Work boot style.
-This morning I went hiking with my dad and my son. The trial was faint and somewhat overgrown. We still had a great time. Walking the trails in the morning really helps me out with my mental game. I love it.

AU 3784 Daily Tasks 4/6/2015   • New logos and colors for a number of different clients.
• Working on the developer’s notebook application. This is where we will be allowing all of our paper notebook entries to be shown to the public.
• On the phone with a developer. We were on a GoToMeeting session all morning. We worked on a custom page interface for a client. We then started into options of saving report settings. This person is still kind of new for us. Working on flow for saving reports settings and favorites.
• On the phone with Steve going over some questions. We talked about code, API socket options, servers, 3rd party solutions, and upcoming needs.
• Phone calls and emails.
• On the phone with Full Circle Interactive Media. We were talking backend API connections to make both parties run smoother.
• On the phone with a developer working on the page to help save settings for custom favorite buttons and report settings. We did a GoToMeeting session and he was writing code as I talked him through it.
• Other phone calls and emails. Sent a developer some state tax tables and raw data for payroll stuff.
• Paying bills and scanning receipts.

AU 3785 Daily Tasks 4/7/2015   • Working on the my invoices permission. We ended up calling it “limit to my invoices”. Cascading new code around to different pages.
• More work on the limit to my invoices permission.
• On a phone call with Steve going over projects.
• Went in to work at Bridgerland. Worked with an intern on migrating invoices. We are making some good progress there. 30 miles.
• Some contacts came into Bridgerland to see a demo for a trucking and logistics company. We met in one of the computer labs and used the big projector. I showed them around a bit and we talked options. They are looking for a full web-based dispatching solution. They have 40+ trucks, employees, a maintenance shop, and want everything all tied together. Great meeting. They want me to get them a quote and timeframe.
• Meeting with my brother to go over graphics and ideas. He is going awesome. He showed me a proposal to do a flash animation to help educate our users on topics like purchase inventory, pay for sale, pay off a customer bill, pay off a PO for inventory, etc. Very simple and very needed. We reviewed his progress and worked on verbage.
• Working with an intern on a rewrite of the invoice code to migrate invoices (off the bus) from the shared tables to a corporation specific table. Big project.
• Working with an intern on some random API socket errors for stock/units.
• Working with a developer on the custom interface for a client project. He has been pretty sick but he is pushing through it. Great progress.
• Talking to a developer about plans for our eCommerce pieces. We also spent some time working on showing images inside the eCommerce cart. Lots of good things in the wings.
• Working on the limit to my invoices permission. Testing new code changes.
• Posted new code on all servers and tested the new permission.

AU 3786 Daily Tasks 4/8/2015   • Went in and did some research on a trucking dispatch software program that these contacts wanted me to check out. I browsed some pages and watched some videos. It helped me get an idea of where their pain and pressure points are. It looks like a great product.
• Went in to Bridgerland to work with my guys. My first project of the day was doing a bid and quote for the tucking company guys. I did some prep and put together a small bid. I was having fun with the bid. I had a developer read over the bid and then sent it out. 30 miles.
• Working with developers on button favorites and saving report settings. We did quite a bit of brainstorming on flow up on the whiteboard. I also gave them a small demo on the existing my cart favorites and the logic of how they work. They liked how you could add colors, sort, name, and even show photos. I also showed them split cart modes, split screens, and stacked buttons.
• Working with a developer on eCommerce layouts and flow. At the whiteboard talking about sub settings and how current flow follows a very general flow process. He is trying to get his head around the multi-page black box concept.
• Working with a developer and intern on saving and showing custom report settings and buttons. Added a page that shows the saved favorites. Kind of rough right now but coming along.
• On the phone with Steve going over the adilas class that was taught today up in Denver. We also talked about new projects, quotes, bids, and pushing up the community funded projects. Exciting times.
• New site for a fashion boutique. Added a new logo and colors to their site.
• New logo for a business coaching business.
• Working on the web version of the developer’s notebook page. This is the public view for showing the different entries. Switched out the login image and added a new image to show the new my invoices permission and information on how to limit the invoice per user. Posted new files online.

AU 3806 Daily Ideas 4/8/2015   -On the “verbage” special line item… Take off the $1.00 price value. Change it to a zero. An even better option is to allow the users to change the prices on the corp-wide settings page.
-Along with changes to special line items… It would be cool if we could allow users to create their own custom special line items (parts or unlimited items). This could be additional labor rates, fees, discounts, etc. They can already do this, but they have to create their own unlimited items through a setup PO.
-I was reading an email and really liked the phrase “Managed Solutions”. I would like to start using that term more often.
-When showing the black box concept, show multiple pages to get the concept across. Pretend that the dots are possible black boxes per page. (See sketch in photo gallery)

Brainstorming notes between Brandon and adilas interns & developers:
- We are going to call this section – my saved favorites. It may also be known by my favorites, saved report settings, and just favorites.
- An intern really liked the split screen idea for showing the saved favorites.
- Split screen idea for my saved favorites: saved favorites (left side bar), actual reports based off of the saved favorites (right side – majority of screen)
- It might be cool to add in a type, categories, app types, etc. Basically a way to organize the my favorites or saved favorites.
- We want to be able to rename, delete, and edit the favorites. We also want to be able to copy and duplicate them as well.

AU 3787 Daily Tasks 4/9/2015   • Emergency server reset and checking out a problem on the data 2 server. We were unable to go through the checkout process to make an invoice.
• Went in to Bridgerland to work with my guys. Worked with an intern on migrating invoice between databases. We worked on some multi-step logic and flow.
• We spent a couple of hours working with another intern on web/API socket documentation. He types while I tell him what to write. We made a bunch of new changes. He types almost as fast as I can speak.
• We had a group whiteboard session on eCommerce and custom Black Boxes. Two interns/developers were the presenters of their plan. Good stuff!
• Worked with interns on saving report settings and flagging the saved settings as favorites.
• Worked with our project manager on some project management stuff. He also visited with a number of developers to see what they were working on.
• My sister came by and worked with the project manager on some client stuff. She had a couple tech support questions and gave me a report of her training session with the wife of a guy who is trying to become an adilas consultant here in Cache Valley..
• Super busy day today. At one point today, we had 10 powerhouse players all participating in the black box and eCommerce brainstorming session. Super awesome! 30 miles.
• Recording notes from the day.
• Recording bills and invoices. Light clean-up.

AU 3788 Daily Tasks 4/10/2015   • Emails and follow-ups.
• Went in to Bridgerland to work with my guys. Some of the guys have been coming in on Friday’s even though we haven’t had the room at the college booked for Friday’s. We had six guys in there today on a non-scheduled day. I imaging that we will be looking for office space very soon.
• I worked with an intern on migrating invoices and invoice payments. We redid some page logic and did some testing. That database migration project is coming along nicely.
• I also worked with an intern on his mini project for customer gift cards. The mini version is coming along.
• Basically, each developer chose a mini project to work on. Once they get that done, they are then able to move on into a real or bigger project/s.
• A developer and I spent that afternoon working on the process of saving custom report settings, favorites, and making sure that everything flows in the correct direction. We added options to navigate to the my saved favorites from different pages and reports. We added options to copy and save as new favorites. We followed logic through from page to page and even added some custom logic to help make sure that all values get saved and repopulated as needed. Lots of progress on the my saved favorites and custom report settings. We finished up the entire process for the advanced time search results section. I really think that this save favorites section will really help save our users some time and clicks. Good stuff. 30 miles.

AU 3807 Daily Ideas 4/10/2015   -Keep remembering… By small and simple things… great things are brought to pass. Awesome advice.
-The other day at church, I heard a talk by a gentleman. In his talk he was talking about how all we need sometimes is a little traction. He was talking about “Deer trail traction” and how sometimes even the smallest trail is enough to help maintain the elevation that we’ve gained. Anyway, my dad and I were on our morning walk and we were 100% on steep side hills looking for Deer trail traction today. It was amazing how much just something so small could help and even increase your confidence. Great analogy.
-Add payee_id’s to user lists for eCommerce and 3rd party settings. Basically, an active username and user id (payee_id) are required to use the eCommerce settings and other API socket or 3rd party solutions. However, the payee id’s are not shown anywhere on the page. This requires us to educate and tell each user where to get those numbers and id’s. It will be easier to just build it into the pages and application. Make it easy and obvious.
-On stock/units – we need an option to be able to search by a date in range. It would also be cool to be able to see inventory prior to or between certain date ranges. Kind of like year-end totals for stock/units.

AU 3789 Daily Tasks 4/11/2015   • Emails and getting organized.
• A developer came over and worked on a custom data upload for a client. We went over some of his code and checked things out. He did the migration and then billed for the project. That was great.
• I checked on a customer’s driver license bug. I got it fixed and uploaded files.
• Working with a developer on his projects.
• Another developer came over to work on payroll stuff and I spent time getting caught up on my notebook and recording notes. I also talked with Steve on the phone for about 45 minutes. We talked about needs and pressure. Bigger and bigger demands are being put on us and our developers. Speed to market is becoming an issue. I’m so grateful that we have spent the last couple months training our guys. It is about to busy open and really get crazy.
• Working on the default expense type per vendor/payee or employee/user. We have wanted this for years and years. Didn’t quite get it done, but it is close.

AU 3808 Daily Ideas 4/11/2015   -Fix the new driver’s license field for customer records. We may have overwritten changes with new code.
-On attributes and sub inventory options…. It might be nice to allow all kinds of sizes, colors, features, etc. It may also be cool to allow quick grids and matrix type input options. It would be really cool if the users could build their own and play the game without much outside developer or code help. (See 11/4/14 for ideas on presets)
-Add some bigger text fields to parts. These bigger fields could be available as an optional one-to-many relationship. Not every item needs a huge, html compatible, optional field. Anyway, whether or not the field is optional or standard doesn’t matter. The end result will be the same.
-I’m planning on working on some custom code to help a client get everything all wired up for their website. Use that project as a demo or sample of what is possible. Spend some extra time as necessary. Make it look good!

AU 3792 Daily Tasks 4/15/2015   • Brainstorming on expanding subs of time to all system player groups. See notes on other page for details. This branching out could really help all parties involved. See other notes for some fun comparisons to individuals and family relationships.
• Updating code on different sites. Pushing up some new files from a developer to allow saved settings and report favorites.
• Went into Bridgerland to work with my guys. Busy day today. I worked with an intern to upload new code to both data 2 and data 3 servers. We found an error with the help file migration process. I then worked with another developer on his new code changes for the eCommerce black box stuff. I learned quite a bit. He is quite sharp.
• Worked with another developer on a custom quote or bid for some code changes.
• I then worked with another developer to finish up a client project. We added a black box to allow custom code on the add/edit customer action page. We built a number of custom reports using the new save settings feature for saved report favorites and settings.
• I then worked with some other developers to prep for their eCommerce demo with a client. I had all of my developers participate in the demo of the new eCommerce skin. We had a conference call with some of the client team. Great call and good meeting. We did a GoToMeeting session and one developer was the primary driver on the demo. After the demo, the guys and I hung around talking options, vision, and potential. That was really fun. The guys are starting to catch the vision.
• Checking on code requests and recording notes about the day. Lots of good stuff is happening.
• Merging files and checking for code updates on bit bucket – code repository and version control stuff.
• Cleaning up code and version control issues. Trying to get caught up and on top of things.

AU 3811 Daily Ideas 4/15/2015   -I woke up this morning thinking about how to use time and space as a virtual wrapper inside of adilas. What if it were possible to skip the main element of time and access directly the subs of time or sub functions of time? That would be awesome!

So I’m thinking that subs of time or sub functions of time may be able to be accessed via direct connections without going through a main host or main element of time. Here is how that would work…
- All of the subs or subs of time (functions) would be native to elements of time. The word native means, they reside there and there is a natural connection between a main time element and its subs. Normal one-to-many relationship. Using a time_id number to make the connection.
- If you add a couple more fields to the subs, they could be connected to any other table, sub table, main id, or app type. These are fields like: app type id, main id, main table name, and sub id. See entry on 10/2/14 for more info on connectors.
- If you add more connectors to the subs, you could buddy up or make pieces by cousins (not directly connected but close – like cousins). So, instead of a perfect one-to-many relationship based on a time id number (native or ideal) you could still connect things like cousins, step children, foster children, or even adoption processes.
- How do families connect? They can be native or natural or they can be a mixed bag – meaning different options that work for the parties involved. Families and relationships can be many different flavors. That is okay and allows for diversity. That is awesome!
- If we did allow subs of time (sub functions like sub phases, sub locations, sub dates & time, sub comments, sub reminders, sub GPS & RFID tag tracking, sub payroll, etc.) to connect to other pieces… We could make time and space even more transparent. The relationships between the items and elements becomes the wrapper and keeps things together. Interesting twist on how it is the characters and their relationships that connect and hold things together.
- If you could hold the individual items or characters accountable for the relationships that are made… Then you could still have order among somewhat randomness. I wonder if God does that? He allows us to connect and form all kinds of different relationships and then expects and accounting of those connections and relationships – both good and bad. Basically, a return and report type of a system.
- Anyway, I love the idea of having both native and natural connections and relationships as well as allowing for other non-native or open relationships. Either way, they still need to show up for roll call and be held accountable according to the relationship and circumstances. Kind of like God opening up the gospel to the gentiles. Maybe we need to open up subs of time to all players. These new relationships will bind and make the other characters or players even stronger. I love it!
- Tell, show, make, and connect the story. Weld, bind, and connect persons, places, and things together. All data is live and searchable!

-Some of the request from the client demo were… Bigger web text field or description area. Options for video or custom values, ability to change font color and sizes, admin settings for banners, links, images, and sliders.
-They (the client) also requested sub categories for parts and items. They also thought it might be cool to have a place to show reviews, other products, and/or add-on’s.
-The other big request was calculated shipping and automating things like that.

AU 3793 Daily Tasks 4/16/2015   • Reviewing the day from yesterday.
• Follow-up emails and checking in on a couple of proposals that I’ve got out for some potential client projects.
• Other emails and tech support.
• Went into Bridgerland to work with my guys.
• A developer showed me a new import tool that he is working on. He is very good at tools and processes.
• I spent most of the morning working with a developer on cleaning up a code branch on bit bucket. It was an earlier branch and we kind of messed it up by putting in random files that were unrelated. Because everything wasn’t fully done, it never got merged into the master branch or the main trunk. We compared a lot of files and did some salvage work.
• I then got a developer going on my favorite buttons and my saved report settings.
• Next, I worked with a developer to install and implement a new black box inside of the printable invoice page. These new black boxes are built inside the secured environment.
• Brainstorming with another developer on world building concepts and using elements of time as the root or highest level wrapper. Basically, we need everything o be part of the elements of time family. This could be natural and/or adopted into the same family. See other ideas and sketches for ideas.
• Met with my brother and watched his presentation on adilas training. He showed all of the guys what he was working on. They all enjoyed seeing his games and other designs as well. We had six guys watching his presentation.
• Worked with another developer on domains and sub domains. They want to use that for eCommerce. We (the developer and I) went and looked at some office space that he had found. He knows a guy who has some open office space that we could move into. Lots of fun things happening. 30 miles.
• Emails, invoices, and catching up on things.

AU 3812 Daily Ideas 4/16/2015   -I’ve got a number of projects and proposals right in front of me. How can I help those projects go forward and be able to scoop up the low hanging fruit in front of me? I think that I need to slow down and pick things up. Sometimes going slow takes more time but can really help!
-Sketches of how elements of time play into all pieces and parts. Concepting with a developer.

See sketches on scans in photo gallery:
- 12 main player groups like customers, invoices, parts, users, vendors, etc.
- Subs or sub functions of time. All main players could use and/or talk to any of the sub functions of time.
- 12 main players with their own natural subs or features.
- Subs or sub functions of time.
- The above model started getting into other natural connections and subs of the main player groups.
- I still kind of like the oval and spiral or radial model. Just trying to figure out the best option to help people understand.
- 3 main points for joining items to the family of elements of time are:
1. Life span
2. Checkpoints
3. Data assembly line
- What if part of the core contained the following elements…
1. Permissions
2. Settings
3. Functions of time & space
4. Media/content & files
5. Relationships
6. Concepts & principles
7. Other key factors & players
8. What is needed to tell, record, & play the story out?
- At the core of world building – you have a number of core concepts and principles. They are the core. Without the core concepts and principles, the whole thing fails. Help it grow by supporting the core!
- The very heart of the matter deals with a number of interrelated and compound concepts. That is where the model gains strength.
- Help other people know about this core concepts, principles, and interrelated pieces. The “why” many take a while to teach, show, and develop. It is worth it!

AU 3814 Daily Ideas 4/18/2015   -Everything needs to be adopted into the family of elements of time.
-See notes from 4/15/15 about ways that other system data objects could be adopted or made part of the elements of time family. This subject is weighing heavier on my mind latterly. Kind of fun to play with the options.
-Let the Lord lead and do His own work. Help and participate where possible. Be an instrument in the hands of the Lord!

• Updating help files and making sure database tables have been updated on all servers.
• Working on a new graphic to show options to save favorite report settings. The new graphic will go on the main login page. We are trying to communicate more with our users about new features and updates.
• On the phone with Steve doing a GoToMeeting session.
• A developer came over and both of us worked with Steve on some custom cart logic for a gram tracking project. We then talked about packaging and our plan for getting into this project. Our plan is to do a couple sessions a week to make progress. We are thinking 2 hour blocks, a couple times a week.
• Getting a new login page with a graphic update ready to go. Posted new files on al servers to show the new save favorite report settings.
• Working with a developer on migrating invoices and invoice payments. Going over code and trying to make things work.
• Light work with a developer on GPS stuff and playing with Google map stuff. He is going research for a GPS and logistics project.

AU 3782 Brainstorming about the need to mix elements of time, sub functions, and 3D world building concepts 4/21/2015   These are some whiteboard brainstorming pictures of a brainstorming session between Brandon Moore and Calvin Chipman. We were talking about how relationships, inside of adilas, are created and/or manufactured. The subject covered was dealing with how we want to help to virtually adopt different players and player groups inside of adilas to the sub functions of elements of time and space. The subject was somewhat on the topic of data glue.

We covered main application types (system player groups), main id numbers (how they connect), and what natural options and relationships already exist. We figured that at the most basic level, we could use the following fields to connect any piece to any other piece.
  • Corp Id or World Id Number
  • App Type Id (2=Deposit, 3=Invoice, 4=PO, 5=Expense/Receipt, 6=Balance Sheet Item, 7=Stock/Unit, 8=Customer, 9=Vendor/Payee, 10=Employee, 11=Part, 12=Element of Time, 13=Quote)
  • Main Id - What is the corresponding main id number to create the main id and app type id combo? These combos deal at the data level for the data item. For example: App type 2 and deposit number 50. That makes a specific named deposit. Or app type 3 and invoice number 700. That creates an invoice entity or individual. Or app type 11 and part id number 1000. This would be how the system would talk to and/or communicate with a part number or item (general inventory item).
  • Sub Id - Optional. This would be a sub id number if we need to connect to a sub. If not, it would be left at 0.
  • Table Name - This would be a string or text value that would help us know what table we were talking about. This helps us possibly connect an unlimited number of subs or sub tables.
The other fun thing about this brainstorming session was the fact that we listed out a number of the subs of each player group as well as listed out some of the sub functions of time. The sub functions of time are still somewhat new and a budding subject inside of adilas.

This brainstorming session also mixed a little bit of 3D world building with sub functions of time, permissions, settings, photos and scans, locations (stacked model), and with media/content (files).

By the time we were done, we were talking about a thing called the application flex grid (connecting different worlds or software applications together) and real in-line extensions (possible ways of extending any table or column in the entire database). Good session.

AU 3797 Daily Tasks 4/21/2015   • Went in to Bridgerland. Did a major overview of relations and how adilas uses relationships to basically glue different things together.
• Brainstorming with a developer on adoption process and data glue. The goal was to get him into the vision of how we need to connect things. We talked and drew tons of concepts on the whiteboard. See sketches on next page.
• Working with a developer on splitting out invoice and invoice payments. We started at the create new cart page and reconstructed the invoice auto numbering section to allow the database to do the auto numbering vs. the older manual process.
• Working and talking with a developer about time and time glue. We ended up talking about even deeper topics like application flex grid and connecting any item to any other item. We kept going back to our whiteboard drawing and talking about other possible options. See other notes for techy database ideas and possible column names.
• Working with other guys on their projects. Helped a developer with invoice tables, another developer with API settings, and another developer about doing the ice-down date project.
• A developer did a full class demo and presentation on object oriented programming. Lots of cool concepts and ideas. Good stuff.
• Met with a prospective intern about expectations on work and training.
• Talking with a developer on different things and project direction. He is doing great.

AU 3815 Daily Ideas 4/21/2015   Sketch of a brainstorming session with a developer on relationships and how elements of time play a part of the whole:
App Types (List of all 12 app types):
- Customers
- Invoices
- Quotes
- Parts/Items
- Stock/Units
- Elements of Time
- Employee/Users
- Vendor/Payee
- PO’s
- Expense/Receipts
- Deposits
- Balance Sheet Items
Main Id’s (list of main id number fields)
Elements of Time (main players, sub functions of time, and other options – all of the boxes in the middle were sub functions of time)
3D World Building Concepts (x= time, y = $, z = space)
Time (break down time – days, hours, minutes, seconds)

Developer’s ideas to help with a base time elements, time glue, or a data glue option: (as a note if we allow for different corps… you could actually even connect worlds)
- Corp id 1
- App type id 1
- Main id 1
- Sub id 1
- Table name 1
- (Above – item 1)
- Corp id 2
- App type id 2
- Main id 2
- Sub id 2
- Table name 2
- (Above – item 2)
- Time type id
- Reoccurring type id
- Start date
- Start time
- End date
- End time
- Use end date
- Be able to connect any two object main to main, sub to sub, main to sub, etc.
- Things like single, span/range, reoccurring, etc.
- Things like name, daily, weekly, monthly, annually, quarterly, hourly, etc.
- As a note, we could add items 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 if needed. Each one could be connected to any other player. Or even other players in other worlds.
- This could really help with the application flex grid and connecting different systems together.

AU 3798 Daily Tasks 4/22/2015   • Emails.
• Went into Bridgerland. Helped a developer list out methods that need to be checked. These are methods that deal with changes to invoice line items, invoices, and invoice payments. Splitting out database stuff.
• Worked with another developer on prepping for training a client’s staff and crew.
• Talking with an intern about the concepts behind the black box project.
• Went onsite to a client in Smithfield. A developer and I met with our project manager for the training meeting. The developer did the demo and training and the project manager and I watched. They seemed pretty impressed. Good training session. One fun note about the meeting was that four out of the eight dashboard buttons were tied to saved button favorites. That was pretty cool. Super easy and if needed, they could tweak and refine the reports as needed.
• Meeting with both of these guys to do a conference call from my house to a credit card (pin debit) processor. We did some prep and then called the guy. After the phone call our conversation switched to training and how important that is in life and in business.
• On the phone with Steve going over the day. Lots of things happening.
• Emails and paying bills.

AU 3816 Daily Ideas 4/22/2015   Notes from a discussion between Brandon, a developer, and the project manager:
- Training is so important. A company that believes in training is awesome. Even a draw to outside parties and talent.
- Training and maintenance may be more important than a new feature.
- The lack of training is like not having the feature at all. Either you don’t know about it and/or you don’t know how to use it.
- Believe in training and education. That helps, lifts, and inspires people. At least, that is the goal or concept.
- Seek outside funding for the black box project.

Adi 1036 Add Exports to Microsoft Excel or CSV (comma separated values) Files For All Data 4/24/2015

Some of the known weak areas are on stock/units and elements of time. Parent attributes and sub inventory are also some known areas of weakness.

With the introduction of the data table, we are now able to export a lot more data.

Adi 1037 Add Simple Access Codes For All Media/Content Items - Preset code to access video, audio, & files 4/24/2015   These simple preset access codes would allow users to create links to stored audio and video files. This would be very similar to how YouTube allows you to get the code that shows the YouTube video on any other website or PowerPoint Presentation.

This feature could be enhanced by allowing settings such as player types, colors, sizes, etc. Think quick access to any stored file or media/content.

AU 3818 Daily Ideas 4/27/2015   -Idea from Steve – we need to move into a more responsive layout and design. Responsive apps and/or remote login to their (our clients) websites. We need to be more and more mobile friendly. Auto save a company logo to a phone or a tablet by clicking a button or downloading a small app that has a URL web pointer that is built-in.
-When I was working with a developer on the flex grid, I used the analogy of a double agent of sorts. It basically changes how it acts and looks depending on where it is at.
-Additional notes from a client. He wants to be able to capture results and sales from multiple sources such as: eCommerce, phone call in sales, trade shows and conferences, and retail point of sale. Each venue has a slightly different flavor and requirements.
-He wants to use promotion codes, referrals, drop shipping, gifting circles, and gift to get (points and credits). Gift and loyalty cards.
-A good survey is worth a ton – if you let them, people tell you what they want.

AU 3803 Daily Tasks 4/28/2015   • Working on an ad for custom eCommerce sites. Highlighting the new site and pitching eCommerce solutions for other clients.
• Finished up the custom eCommerce ad and posted it on the main login page. Pushed the files up to all servers.
• Emails and tech support stuff.
• Went into Bridgerland to work with my guys. Very busy day today. I started out talking to a developer about project management and tracking projects through adilas. We also talked about using a possible other product until we could get elements of time fully up and functioning for project management. We talked about a 3 to 6 month turn around in order to get elements of time to a level where we need it to be.
• I then talked with interns and developers on different topics of what they were working on.
• A developer, intern, and I started working on signing off on eCommerce black box code. It took a while for us to get going. We then got on a conference call with Steve to work on the sub inventory and cost control (packaging) project.
• We reviewed as a group and went over the brainstorming word document. We went over each concept piece by piece. We took turns reading and discussing the different points. That was kind of fun. Steve chimed in and helped lead the discussion as well.
• We had a guy come by and talk to us about SEO (search engine optimization) and CMS (content management solutions or systems). We talked shop for a while.
• We then had our project manager come in for a conference call. Lots of exploring options between the different developers. At the end of the day a developer and I chatted and worked on his project tying a custom software program to adilas. We also talked about vision and direction. 30 miles.
• On the phone with a developer using Google Hangouts to talk about payroll and how we could possibly turn that project into a reoccurring model. I pitched it at a 5% commission back to him to work on and maintain the payroll section and pages inside of adilas. Great conversation.

AU 3819 Daily Ideas 4/28/2015   -We need an admin photo/scan permission. This permission would allow a user to overwrite an existing photo or scan. A high admin level for photos.
-Prioritize and break projects into smaller chunks and sections.
-Idea from our project manager – Add sub to do lists, sub check points, and sub checkboxes for elements of time.
-Add a percentage field to track what is done and what is in progress. This could be on the sub checkboxes or subs of time.
-Use a simple grid system for easy entry and easy editing. Keep it all right in front of you. Basically a one-page war board like Action Strategy has. Good design.
-Be able to create a quick to do list and let them (the tasks) persist until done or until deleted. Also be able to transfer to do list items and tasks to new lists. Keep moving things forward.

AU 3804 Daily Tasks 4/29/2015   • Emails and tech support calls.
• Went into Bridgerland to work with my guys. We started out the day doing a number of group discussions about a development process called agile and scrum. Basically, it deals with a different style of project management and project development. We watched a video, had a group discussion, and an intern gave us a PowerPoint presentation on the subject. See other notes.
• Two other developers helped three others of us get going on the new eCommerce black box project. We decided on a file structure path and how we plan on offering skins, themes, and custom code and/or black box options. Lots of progress on getting everybody on the same page. There was also some discussion on tools and what to do as far as project management. 30 miles.
• Working multiple interns and developers on breaking things down into the new file structure. We are working as a group to help conserve resources. We struggled with direction but finally started making some headway and getting some traction. Today has been an interesting day. Not much code but lots of direction and communication.
• Emails, follow-ups, and small code fixes on the expense/receipt pages. Added a verify button to the top of the printable and receipt line items page. Also fixed a small bug when converting a customer into vendor to use on an expense/receipt.
