-Title line for invoices corp-wide – open field for whatever branding is needed on the top of the invoice. This may be a great spot to put dynamic sub invoice type. No special dates or history, just an option to classify the invoices. Another word might be “Invoice Classifications”. Maybe something like a mix between a corp-wide stetting for what the default is and a dynamic list per corporation; think it out a little more before we just add it in to the mix. -Known issues: unlimited parts with costs, special line items on PO’s, sales tax, collected fees, payroll taxes and withholdings, special fees due to different entities, PO’s with pre-payment or transit options, normal pre-payments on any items (invoices, PO’s, E/R’s, etc.), customer credits, gift cards, watchers and feeders, second half of a balance sheet E/R or balance sheet deposit, dates way in the future and in the distant past, disconnects between main and line items. -On E/R advanced line item search – we need to be able to group expense types. |

This deals with the corp-wide setting called “barcode quick cart”. If turned on, auto adds one to the cart; if turned off, then goes right to the part’s detail page. • On the phone with Steve discussing ideas and user interface options, that should be coming soon. • Added a quantity to the part details page. |

• Working on expanding the product finder (part quantities per location) functions and options. Added four digit years to all edit pages for invoices, PO’s, deposits, and expense/receipts. (The two digit year sometimes hides a problem with the dates.) • Added the product finder to the parts usage history page. • On the phone with Steve and another group going over a project they call “live menu”. We talked about a number of solutions and ended up leaning in a “they build it and we feed it” type scenario. • Then spoke with Steve for a while afterwards about monies and our game plan. We also discussed quite a bit concerning invoice classifications and doing a cross between a corp-wide setting and a stand-alone dynamic one-to-many per corporation. |

-We had a request to merge (just for reports) main customers and customer logs. We need to be able to queue up a “call list” and then rotate through it (basic call center business). We also need sort options to show old logs first. We also had request to be able to virtually drop off (negative or not search) logs. Ex: I want everything except for “not interested”. Then it would contain notes without “not interested”, an exclude search option. -We need to store income statement settings as corp wide settings. See the advanced_income_statement.efm page for all of the settings. -Maybe a “not interested” and “interested” customer log types. It might be cool to be able to select/de-select log types as filters. -On permissions – it might be cool to show an application type (system player type) per permission. It may also by cool to show in the map mode where permissions place into the puzzle. -On voiding an invoice – try to loop and void any open credit card payments. Currently it is a manual process, it would be nice to automate whatever is possible and then return and report (yes, no, etc.) -On customer credits – it would be great to tie in customer credits and gift cards together, very similar logic. -On customer payments – the apply multiple payments may need an option for, apply extra as change due or as credit. |

• On the phone discussing an outstanding invoice for the tax prep that was done. (We had emailed them and then never heard back. I wanted to make sure things were taken care of, due to a thought I had. After the phone call I sent a follow up email to their new email address.) • Worked on an Excel file that contained all of the alilas.biz domain names. • On the phone going over a support ticket issue. (I had requested a normal server reboot and the email came back implying that a full system restore from two days ago was done. My heart dropped… I quickly called support and stayed on the line until I was okay with where things were at, kind of scary.) • Emails, phone calls and tech support. • Sent a list of domain names to Steve for his approval. • More work on the mixed barcode search and responder section. |

-Some of our pressure comes from painting a good base or foundation. People can see the vision of where we are going but they want us to be there right now; all in good time. This vision is a mixed blessing but we’ll take it. -I need to retrace the floor-plan logic. I was on the phone with a customer and did not remember the exact flow. And new title accounts (for sold items) did not show up where I expected them to show up. |

Also discussed some balance sheet items and the need to show the known issues. Talked about elements of time and how future calendar overlays will play in to the mix. Great conversation! • Small page tweaks: -Added a four digit year to all printable PO’s, expense/receipts, invoices and deposits. -Added the corporation name and address to the paycheck stubs. -Added a secondary barcode and customer type search to my cart favorite buttons. (This allows for a single button to be coded with the same barcode (general) and the system will try to match the customer type ups; pretty creative, kind of a hybrid between cart favorite buttons and searchable barcodes for different customer types.) -Added my cart favorite buttons to the view part details page. • Posting files and testing pages online. |

Adi 565 | Customers - Add a flag field | 10/25/2012 | Got a call from Bill in Pagosa Springs... He wanted to know if he could control the font color for certain customers. I told him no. After talking for awhile, I suggested that we add a "flag" field to the customers table. Anything that gets added to the flag field would then show up in red (possibly on multiple pages if a customer id is known). We would need to allow this field to be editable (even by it self). It would need to show-up in the shopping cart, during checkout, in the queue, in the my cart favorites, and all of the normal customer pages (log, add/edit, history, gallery, basic search, and advanced search). Anyways, a great idea! | |||

This spawned an idea about allowing corporations to make and create their own graphical interface. We would then help them do a custom mapping or link overlay to add the functionality. (See elements of time #20 for an email sent to Steve.) • More ideas related to a custom GUI. • Working on the 2-step buyers order process for a customer. |

-What about allowing a graphic designer to create a custom home page for each corporation. It could have their look and feel, their exact verbiage, buttons, links, pre-built searches, reports, etc. If the companies did not have a designer we could sell that as a service; basically a custom image map. -What if we took the custom image map even further, what about a custom flash movie (interactive) image map or menu system. That could really extend things. |
