Sent an email to Lee Hansen of a Touch of Style - out of Texas

Lee,
Hello and good evening! I wanted to let you know that we got your email and latest requests. Thanks for checking in. Please see below for two different subjects. One is dealing with resetting your max invoice numbers and the other is a plan for moving forward. Email is sometime hard to convey all of the thoughts and ideas. Please give me a call and we’ll chat in person. 435-881-1536.

Here are some simple steps to update the last invoice number to a value of 1006 as requested.
1. From the classic homepage, click on the manage corp info and permissions option from under the system management section.
2. Once on that page, click the more options… button.
3. Click the link that says “update max or auto increment numbers”
4. Fill out the small form and click submit.

Here is a small help file for you:
https://data0.adilas.biz/top_secret/help.cfm?id=462&pwd=auto

I talked with Shannon on the phone and we talked about a plan to help you as we move forward. We are still somewhat caught in the middle of no-man land. We need to move the model to a paying customer model. Currently, we are paying for training and development but you are not. We need to flip that. We need to reinstate your monthly billing and get caught up on the custom invoice. As of right now, it is costing us money to have you as a client. That’s not really the plan (at least on our part). We don’t mind helping and getting you trained, but we need to flip the model. I hope you understand. Our model is setup to be somewhat of a self-serve model. We’ll allocate a max of 2 more hours of free training to help you get going. After that we need to start charging for training, setup, and consulting. Shannon bills out her time at $35/hour. That is between you and her as to what your needs are.

As far as the new custom invoice requests, we don’t have a problem completing your requests, we just need to talk and get all squared away. We finished up all of your prior requests only to get another 5 items on your tick list. We call that feature creep. It happens in custom code work and development all the time. That’s nothing new for us. Please see attached for the original invoice for the custom code. It was a pretty simple invoice and we feel we have gone way beyond what was originally agreed upon. All of your last requests, see below, are totally possible and may be done but we need to run that through project management and get you a bid. Please see attached for the original invoice.

Currently we have only received $325 for this custom job. As of 10/23/15, we actually ran the remaining amount due to bad debt assuming that nothing was going to happen with this ticket (amount of time it was sitting on the books). In my prior email I stated a number of facts and stats on costs that we have incurred to get this project done. I’m sorry that it has taken so long, this project got caught in somewhat of a transition within the adilas system. The new system uses a series of independent developers and reps to service the accounts. Adilas cannot continue to run the way we were running. All new projects and training requests are subject to billable hours. Each rep and/or consultant charges independently. We, at the adilas shop, charge a $100/hour for custom code work to be done.

As I was writing this email I had a thought… See if you like it… Here is a small deal for you… If you pay the remaining $325 for the custom job. I’ll get Bryan to help us finish up the requests listed below. However, we won’t and can’t go any further without getting paid the remaining amount on the original ticket. We also want to draw the line 100% in the sand. If you don’t want to pay the last $325, that fine and we’ll just go forward. We are calling it done and you have what we have done (currently posted online and fully functional). If you want the rest of the pieces (new requests), we need to get paid. Once we get paid, we’ll roll out your other requests within a week. The finish of this job deals strictly with the requirements listed below. Any new requests will need to be billed out separately and need to go through the project management process. Basically, I’m giving you a small quote of the remaining $325 to finish up all of your new requests.

Anyways, that’s what we’ve got. Take a look at your options and let us know. If you don’t want to play, we’ll call it good and just go forward. All of your custom code has been pushed to live servers. If you do want to play, get a hold of us and we’ll get things going. Thanks Lee and have a great day.
