This is a drawing from a brainstorming session between Brandon and Steve dealing with tracking sub locations and sub phases per PO. The drawing shows two options (opt # 1 and opt # 2). Option 1 shows the possible connections if each PO only has one line item. We could move things using main locations and then tie into elements of time using app types and main id's in the sub flags and tags table. Option 2 deals with a single PO with multiple line items. It was pitched in order to show a possible sub or line item relationship. The goal there was showing how we could potentially connect clear out to the sub line item level. Some of the verbage on the drawing are: EOT (elements of time), SP (sub phases), SL (sub locations), PO (purchase orders), ML (main locations). The house model in the corner deals with sub locations. Aspen would be the main location and room A, B, C, etc. would be the sub locations. |

Brainstorming with Steve on the morning GoToMeeting session. We were talking about using elements of time and expanding the sub flags and tags table (time_sub_special_flags) to tie to outside pieces. By outside pieces, we were talking about main player objects within the system (PO's, invoices, items, customers, etc.) and/or even sub line items or sub details. We did a lot of drawings and talked about options. Mostly on the theory level or concept level. See attached for some drawings and sketches. We determined that we would be adding some new fields to the sub flags and tags tables to help with the outside connections. They are things like app type id, main id, sub id, table name, and total time calculations. Good little session. Calvin came on and we got him setup with some files and code to help with a data migration project from corp to corp on a single server. After that, we each started working on our own projects. I was recording notes and bouncing between projects and small to do list stuff. I also was able to get back into the sales tax expansion project and started working on the new stock/unit changes. |
