On the morning GoToMeeting session with Steve. We briefly talked about a client's need to allow PO line items to be mixed locations per PO. We are not sure if we want to do that or not. Currently all PO's are location specific and all of the line items and sub inventory are tied to the same location. Basically, a single PO and all of its items and subs are tied to a single location (currently). We aren't sure if we want to break that up or not... it could have some far reaching effects. We asked the developer to do some research and ask the client some more questions about goals, intentions, and processes. Basically, what scenarios are we trying to deal with and how does that play into the whole process? I got on a tech support call with a client about some payroll questions. We chatted and I ended up taking down some notes and writing her an email with some ideas and suggestions. I also gave her a testing login so she could go in and play around. I tried it a few times in the testing site, and didn't think that it was too awful hard to tweak and fake out the system. I think it will work. I tried to add some instructions to the email that she was sent as a follow-up. |
