Notes:
On a Zoom session with Russell. We spent the entire session working on a project called the reflexive side of the flex grid. This has been a long time dream and on our wish list for years. Basically, the flex grid is a super flexible tool to interconnect all kinds of data together. Each flex grid tie-in has a main host (where it starts from) and then it could connect to any number of sub id's or sub connections. Almost like its own mini database tool. The old way, you had to add a piece of flex grid from one side and then do the same from the other side. Say you wanted to link a couple of customers together or show buddy invoices. The old way required you to add a piece of flex grid from both main pieces.

The new reflexive side of the flex grid helps the system do the additional linking. Basically, it makes the initial connection just like normal. It then searches, if a checkbox is clicked for add reflexive side, and does all of the other sub connections. So, that helps you criss-cross and combine items by only making one tie-in. The application figures out what other connections are needed and makes a record for the other pieces. Pretty cool.

Anyways, we worked on that project all afternoon. We got it done, tested, migrated, and uploaded to all servers. Russell and I still need to work on the help files and updates, but it is up and ready to roll. Like I said earlier, this is a small dream come true. The first round of the flex grid tie-ins was done back in June of 2009. This has been a wish list item since about that same time. I'm excited.
