talking_about_simple_sizes_and_colors.jpg   Image/JPEG 6/6/2017 Another project that Russell is working on and has funding for is simple sizes and colors for sub inventory. We spent some time talking about ideas, options, and what might be custom vs. standard stuff. See the graphic for more info. Basically, we are seeing a number of items that only need a color, a size, or both a color and a size. Why not make that standard vs. custom for each corporation. Just some ideas.

The graphics also some ideas on how to display things and how to even help with adding things in bulk. Just some ideas.
talking_about_mini_conversions.jpg   Image/JPEG 6/6/2017 Russell and I were talking about the new mini conversions project. Russell had a similar project come through and he was wanting to run it through a section called related items. This is parent items related to other parent items. This would balloon the main or parent inventory and could cause some problems.

I was trying to show him where we are headed for the mini conversion project. These are Russell's drawings based off of what I was telling him. Basically, his interpretation of what was going on.

Notes:
On a Zoom session with Russell. He was super excited because they have a number of new custom projects that have been approved and they even have some funding on those projects. As Russell was pitching the ideas and talking about the projects, I had a couple of questions and concerns. As we talked, it was appearant that Russell had some frustrations as well. Lots of it was coming down to who was calling what shots and who was doing what pieces.

This lead us into a big huge discussion about who is controlling the business assets (people, money, timeline, and promises made). We talked about goals and direction, roles, and who is doing what. It was good but you could tell that the frustration level was pretty high.

They have new projects that deal with sub inventory in ecommerce, sub part categories, related items, sub flags and tags, searching sub attributes, and simple sizes and colors for sub inventory. We were on the same page about 90 to 95%. It was that 5-10% that was throwing a monkey wrench into the mix. We talked about things and I tried to show him where we were headed and such. In the end, we decided that we would pull Steve in and chat with him about some options.

The whole day today felt like we were losing control on almost every side. It isn't that bad, but one things was leading into the next and we were feeling some accumulated affects. See attached for some graphics for projects that Russell was looking into.
