gift_cards_loyalty_points_accounts.jpg   Image/JPEG 2/8/2017 This is a small graphic that shows a rough outline on what we are proposing for loyalty points and special tracking accounts (gift cards, in-store credit, loyalty points, etc.).

Here is a rough overview...
We have key players including vendors, users, customers, unknown people (generic), invoices, PO’s, and items. Those pieces already exist. We then create an special tracking account table that could tie to any of those people (persons including the general or unknown). That table would hold the who and the what type of account was it (asset or liability – who owes who money and/or a money equivalent). We then need a sub table that would allow for the accounts to be loaded and unloaded (positive and negative amounts). The other main table would be the promotion codes and/or campaign table. This holds special rules and assignments for items, parts, discounts, pricing, etc. We then would tie them all up together.
loyalty_points_and_smart_cart_logic.docx   Doc/Text 2/8/2017 These are some brainstorming notes for doing loyalty points, smart cart logic, promotion codes, special discounts, in-store credit, gift cards, etc. Lots of ideas on special tracking accounts and how to tie them all up together.

Notes:
GoToMeeting session with Steve, Eric, Alan, and Brandon. The subject was smart cart logic, promotion codes, QR codes, campaigns, in-store credit, gift cards, etc. See the attached notes for more details. We also spent some time and talked about reoccurring percentage models and how to pay for these new features. Steve lightly extended some options to Eric during the call. Expand...
