On a phone call and then a Zoom session with Calvin. We talked election and politics for a bit and then got into a demo. Calvin has been working on a project that builds a 2D barcode (a QR code or quick reference code barcode) and puts it dynamically on an Adobe PDF document. He showed me the code and we ran a number of samples. He then showed me his file monitoring stuff that he did for a client. Basically, he built a Windows service that watches certain file folders for updates, new files, and changes to files on the remote server. If something changes, it emails the client to let them know. Basically, it is a civil way of spying on us (the adilas.biz developers) and seeing when we push new files and code to the server. That is ok with me, the client paid for it and it keeps Calvin working on adilas projects. Good stuff. |
