co_api_options_for_cfhttp_5_28_16.txt | Doc/Text | 5/28/2016 | Brainstorming with Steve on ways to connect via http for outside 3rd parties for API sockets. We were running into issues with standard ColdFusion cfhttp requests and trying to send JSON. ColdFusion was converting our mime and content-types from application/JSON to an application/octet-stream. The 3rd party API was rejecting our requests due to the difference in the mime types and content-types. |
Notes:
|
On a GoToMeeting session with Steve going over ways to push and pull data using ColdFusion for other API sockets that we need to connect to. We talked a lot about different options, pros, cons, limitations, and advantages. We were working on the Colorado Metrc API. Lots of testing and trying to show what is going on. See attached for a small txt file that had some of the options and things we were talking about. More info was added to the media/content notes about JSON vs. octet-streams, etc. Techy stuff. |
