Working with Russell. We started out and he was researching some possible web vulnerabilities for an application that he is working on. Then more work on the API's and how to use them. These are a new API framework that Russell is creating to eventually use with some adilas data. Somewhat of a mixed project of adilas API's, PHP, Laravel, and a given database model. We are experimenting with what would this take. Working on creating a bunch of upfront rules and organization. This prep work helps the entire reset of the application get laid out correctly (structured). Part way through the meeting, we were talking about AI and some of pros and cons. We were talking about Wayne (our server guy) and him being a janitor vs a developer or system architect. He is spending tons of time sweeping the floor, cleaning up other people's bugs. We may need to let the developer's see what it takes to do the cleanup. Sometimes that process is somewhat hidden. Maybe reach out to Wayne and see what he thinks. Maybe a solution like - even sending an email every day for a week, showing what is being cleaned up. Let the developers know. We flipped over to making changes and then submitting those changes to AI to make sure that things were tight (back on the API framework project). It was helping us be consistent, making suggestions, etc. Good workflow. We would then take the new changes and/or alterations and make it into something official. Talking with Russell about the value of learning things from scratch. The learning itself has a value. The value comes because, I, have trained myself to recognize good and bad. That is really important. Question from Russell... how do you know the difference between a real dollar bill and a fake dollar bill? You know, if you have spent time with the real dollar bill (time and experience). |
