Notes:

Meeting with an investor group that helps provide investor leads and contacts. There were two people on the call with me. They were pitching their services to us. There was a nice lady by the name of Sita Chopra who answered a bunch of questions for me. I appreciate that. She was talking about different phases of investments and funding. Often companies will start at the seed stage and get funding there. Then they go to the series A and possibly series B type funding. Often they will use their seed funders to keep moving the ball along. There are certain numbers (annual revenue values) and time in business that determine if you are seed, series A, series B stage, etc.

Sita was saying that you don't want to skip the seed level funding. If you do, other investors may see that as a problem. We, at adilas, are kinda bootstrapping our project and have been for years. That is awesome, but sometimes it doesn't look super good to certain investors. It's kinda like not having a credit rating or credit score. They are looking for previous actions and experience. I thought that was interesting.

The other thing that Sita said was is that they really like to get a full pitch deck vs just a small teaser type document. The teasers are smaller but don't really satisfy the bigger investors. They want to see the whole pitch deck and want to do their research and homework. She mentioned that one of the things that they look at (their services) is how many times a certain pitch deck is opened and viewed and how long the investors sped looking at it. She said, if they are serious, they will open it up multiple times, review it, read it, and even study it. She said that many of the investors really like to read about their options and what to expect. Once again, I thought that was good information.
