• Getting new federal tax files for Pub 15 – federal Publication 15, circular E, and Employer’s Tax Guide for 2015. Working with an intern to get things prepped and ready. We even recorded the process of what we are doing. We printed out pages, tables, instructions and started walking through the process step by step. As we got a step done, we would write some notes about what we did and what pages and pieces we used to get it done. • On the phone with Steve going over logic and page flow for in-line discounts. Deep math and even doing order or operations type stuff. The advanced edit cart line items page allows for up to a triple back calculation. We can handle both single and double back calculations pretty easily, but the triple back calculation has proved to be pretty tricky. Here is an example of a tripe back calc… Goal of $2,000, unknown quantity, fixed price per at $5.16 per, with tax included, and showing a 10% discount. The triple is backing into the unknown quantity, backing into a goal with tax included, and back a 10% discount into those other variables. It’s pretty tough stuff – at least for me… • Emails and tech support stuff. • On the phone again with Steve doing another session on the advanced calculations for in-line discounts. Tons of math, calculations, planning, and going through scenarios. • More work on in-line discounts and logic and flow. |
