• Emails and tech support. Getting some training DVD’s ready for a rep in California. • Recording notes from loose pages into my notebook. • Working with an intern on his credit card validation and formatting functions. Good stuff. This is his first live project and it looks very good. I was very impressed. • On the phone with Steve. Going over funding and upcoming projects. Exciting times. • Ordering two new servers. Reviewing old quotes and looking at new prices and features online. Called and left a message for Newtek. • More signing off on an intern’s first live project. • Another intern came over and we had a design meeting for the growth of adilas and where we are headed. We spent most of the evening at the table drawing and hashing out ideas and who will need to do what. Great meeting and lots of good ideas. A couple of notes of importance are: single sign on – this is a single login that allows a user to sign in once and then move around at will. We already do this; we just didn’t know what it was called. The other key word is “fractal”. This is a series of patterns that repeat over and over to form a whole or certain shape. This intern used this word to describe what we were doing. Basically, a server and database structure that repeats itself and makes other shapes by doing the same thing over and over. A fractal. |
