Notes:
-Daydreaming about in-line custom code… What if every link and/or report had settings assigned to it? Say for example, the advanced time search results page. What if I wanted it to be formatted with only certain columns (fields) and in a certain order? How would I record that as a default behavior or result? I think it would be interesting to add code to searches, links, and buttons. Maybe we could define a button, name it, tell it where to show up, and then tell it what report settings to use. That would be very powerful.
-What if you could create any of these buttons (above) and then have them show up wherever you wanted? As a group or even randomly around the site? It would also be cool to organize your own buttons and virtually create your own menu type system. Imaging my cart favorite buttons with even more placement options, plus the ability to hold settings, and be able to stack and name the buttons as needed.
-It would be kind of cool if you could contain all of the custom buttons in their own environment such as virtual space or icons on a smart phone, iPad, or a standard desktop screen. It would also be cool to be able to place any button anywhere on any specific page. Let the users create their own interface and flow.
-What if each page had its own layout grid? This could be awesome but might be too much freedom. Basically where do you want what? And how should it be displayed? This might be a tricky balance between total freedom and total lock-down (rigid). Time will tell…
