• Went in to town for day three of the Logan training class. Once again my sister and I worked on the “tools that we use” brainstorming document. It covers these tools: 1. Head & mind 2. Paper & pencil 3. Computer based – word processing or a text document 4. Spreadsheets (rows & columns) 5. Databases 6. Software packages and IT (information technology) 7. Web & cloud 8. API or custom (API = application programming interface) 9. Virtual world building (like stories & movies – with characters, relationships, trouble, decisions, and consequences) • After that, we got in to deposits, bank stuff, and lots of theory about how adilas tracks the data. We talked about auto vs. manual. We also talked about flow and natural cause and effect relationships that exist as you advance the ball from holding area to holding area. Just like water slowly transforming to slush, snow, and then ice. I used my marker pen quite a bit to explain and demo different scenarios. In the afternoon session, we had another guy come participate with us. He is looking into the assistant web develop position for adilas. He was quite sharp and seemed to follow along well. After the class, we conducted a formal interview. He seems to have some great skills. He also seemed to be very stable and a natural leader. Good stuff. As another comment for day three – I spent a good half an hour showing history and how adilas runs things on a more modern model and method. I had fun with it. |
