-Define the goal, objective, or desired outcome. This is the best place to start. Once you know the goal, you can then figure out how to get there. This is a huge piece of the puzzle. -We have a couple people who are masters of different accounting programs. It would be cool if we could hire them to help us with common processes in other programs. For example: In QuickBooks you do this. In adilas you do this. In Peachtree you do this. In adilas you do this. Etc. I’m thinking of other contacts. -Adilas may need a custom solutions department or team. This could be skins, graphics, interface, flow, or even franchises. -On photo galleries. Add small graphic to try to help people get information about uploading photos. Put it on the top of each add/edit photo page. This will help users get the correct settings. -Perspective… what level are you at? What do you want to see? Where would you like to go? I was hiking with my dad and we were way up on the side of a mountain looking down on the valley. Being way up high allowed us to see things differently as compared with being in the middle or at the bottom. The feature we were looking at were the same but depending on our perspective they seemed or appeared different. As I was hiking I just kept thinking about the word perspective and how that applies to tons of different things. -Along with perspective, we have a fun little graphic that my daughter made. It is a busy street scene with cars, roads, buildings, parking lots, etc. Here is the text that we have on graphic… Think of a bird’s eye view looking down on a busy street… Lots and lots of activity… coming… going… turning… doing… staying… becoming… what if you could… (then we had a little picture of a helicopter). Watch from above? Be on the street level? Be inside one of the cars? Actually play back the movie? (then in bold) Well, you can!!! This little graphic deals with levels, perspective, permissions, and even roles and permissions. Kind of fun. -Learning for transfer… Once you learn to drive a car, you can drive a golf cart, a van, a truck, an SUV, etc. The concepts are the same. You may need to make a small changes or tweaks but the concepts are the same. The same thing happens inside of adilas. Once you learn the concepts, you can apply them in any situation. You will also be able to mix and blend concepts. Good stuff! |
