Notes:
*”Fly the plane!” the #1 job of any pilot!
-Sometimes pressure and pain can help you know what or where needs the most help. It can be almost like a map to the source of what is happening or what needs to happen.
-Instead of trying to control everything on the hard coded parts side – what would happen if we allowed a user to create those at will? How would we track revenue and payroll settings? How would we tie things together and make the rules easy to understand?
-Maybe custom special items don’t have to go through a PO at all. Maybe we also allow the special settings to be added at will. If you want a special line item, you just create it and then assign it special rules.
-I looked up the word “pilot” and here are the synonyms: direct, show, steer, lead, conduct, channel, funnel, point. This deals with the saying – “Fly the plane!”
-On the multi corp sales and profit report, we had a request to expand it to more than 7 days. They would like to see a month at a time. As a side note, this could involve a loop per corporation, a loop for each location with the corporation, and a loop for each part category. The smallest loop then needs to do each day within the report window. It could potentially be a computer memory hog.
-If needed, we might allow a month for a single corporation instead of a multi corp report. That helps to control some of the variables.
