The vytabiologics site crashed I am getting a very specific error which I can fix but the option to create a custom php.ini file is missing from the Hostek WCP page. I have an open ticket to resolve the problem.

When doing work on the Herbo server I noticed that sometimes Wordpress would stop responding to the new clients, after a fair bit of investigation I noticed that the firewall rules for the MySQL port were not blocking traffic and that the database for Wordpress was getting too much traffic and refusing valid connections. I suspect that the same problem might be one of the reasons that the news.adilas.biz wordpress site also experiences frequent downtime. I have engaged with Hostek to fix our firewall issues.

Coldfusion was throwing an error preventing anyone from using the Browser(firefox) on the server form editing scheduled task. the fix is as follows.

2.  A Solution

The solution I propose is to temporarily disable the PRIORITY header in Firefox. To do so, proceed as follows:

2.1  Type about:config in the address field in Firefox, and press <ENTER>. That will open Firefox's configuration page. Press the button to accept the risks.

2.2  In the search field, type priority. You will then obtain a list of all the settings that contain the word "priority".

2.3  Locate the setting network.http.priority_header.enabled. Its default value is true. Double-click on the setting, thereby toggling its value to false.  

2.4  Close Firefox.

2.5  Reopen Firefox. Launch the ColdFusion Administrator and edit the scheduled task you created in step 1.4 (a). 

You should no longer get the error 'For input string: "u=4"' 

Ran into an issue doing bulk labels, doing some research to see the best way to resolve it.

Alan needs the GROUP_CONCAT_MAX_LEN increased on the mysql servers.

I changed it to 20480.

Taking a break got a bunch of labels done.

Refactored the qr_code_generator.cfm pages to work with the new generator. WLA

I could not find any pages that were slower than normal at the server level. you can check yourself by going to the /temp/pmr3.cfm page on any of the servers.

Migrated a few labels to the new system.

There was a bug in  the original qrCode generation that passed three colors to the generator, this put them out of order. Someone fixed it by reverse the RGB color codes for qrCodes. When I fixed the bugs it resulted in reverse image colors which have now been set properly.

Added the mini question mark icon for the settings dialog box to the mini scan cart. Sent an email out to the others.

I got the technical details worked out and have create a test page at top_secretcustomarcodeCompare.cfm

I implemented the new qrCode functionality and updated the calls to itextPdf and the qrCodeGenerator to both fix a bug and to have it call the unified qrCodeService.

I have with AI help migrated the barcode generation away from itextpdf and created a new QrCodeService for this purpose.

I am now waiting to collect some actual data via a log command so that I can properly test the new code.

Bug fix on the custom PDF part labels. Had to force some decimal formatting to a certain decimal size. See notes on EOT # 12022 in the shop.

Finished up the move to data50, looks like everything is working well.

A couple of sessions working on some new code to help with server memory stuff. Trying to make the process less of a memory hog for the servers. See EOT #'s 11979 and 11980 in the shop.

Ok, so I think that I have narrowed this down to the new split cart code it is keeping a pos_mini_cart_favorites page in memory. I am not sure exactly why it is not deposed of when the session ends but for some reason it is not. That is gradually eating up the heap space for the app.

I did a Java heap dump analyzed it and found some concerning results, there is indeed a lot of unnecessary item in memory, not many of them directly controllable by us. I did make a change to the robots.tx file in order to try to limit  bot sessions which could be using up a fair amount of space.

The change is temporary (ie. not in master), I will check it later today to see if that helped at all.

I do not remember if this was set before the switch form swc to data2 or as part of the trouble shooting earlier but in the hosts file on the server data2.adilas.biz was set to a manual home address(127.0.0.1) once that was removed this is working properly.

The base issue is that while that address is valid the server was trying to make an https connection which cannot be used for the home address.

Found and corrected a minor bug in the way we display dates as a helper to people that need to verify an age for compliance purposes.

Checked up on a comment that Brandon received from YogenFruz about the performance on Data39, did not see anything specific other than the mysql server maybe being a little tight on memory, I reworked the page_monitoring code to save a seconds that it took to execute. That should give us a lot more info going forward for these kind of things.

Completed this setup, I was going to have a warning message display to help the customers change their URL if it is saved somewhere but in the end we can fix that if it becomes a problem.
