History Homepage
This is the main homepage for the corporation and user histories. The page is divided into two main parts. The top is the search form and the bottom is the search results. Use the form at the top to filter the results below. The default will be today's date (what happened today). If the search form is hidden, use the show/hide button to interact with the search form.

1. Report Type - Required. Choose from the list provided. The default is "Effectual" or what shows up for roll call (date specific). The "Historical" report type is who touched what (actions and histories). This report searches close to 30 sub tables that hold system-maintained history records. The search results come back as a grouped report by employee/user and by main application type.

2. Time Period - Required. Choose from the list provided. Once you choose a time period (by selecting the radio button), you will need to set the correct date range or date settings. This is a 2-part form field. The default is "Daily" with today's date.

3. Filter By Application Type - Optional. Choose from the list provided. This is a filter to help limit the records.

4. Financial Helper Switch - Optional. This checkbox is only shown to users who have higher permissions and are able to view income statement (P&L) and balance sheet items. If you choose to use this helper button (checkbox), the application will get additional information and will return additional drill-down links and details.

5. Keep Criteria Open - This checkbox helps you either keep the search criteria form open (showing) or allows it to be collapsed (closed) after the search is submitted. The default is unchecked which means that the form will be hidden or collapsed. If checked, the search form will remain open.

Once the results are returned, the report will show up below the main search form. Use the drill-down links to view the underlying data and reports. If you see the link (go deeper), this will take you into a grouped report for application type for the given date range.

Special note about the "Historical" report type - If the date range is set to a single day... there will be an additional set of links that allow you to view all activity for that date. This will combine all records (regardless of application type) and sort them to give you a full play-by-play view of what historically happened on that day in time. This makes a great audit trail and a great way to keep tabs on who is doing what and what they are doing. As a side note - all user history records are recorded behind the scenes as you work in the system. These records are un-editable and are added automatically as you work and move in the system.
