Customer Info - Step 2
This is step 2 of the sales process. This page is divided into two sub steps. The first is choosing the customer and the second is filling in the customer information.

You may also notice that the legend now has a link back to step 1 of the sales process. This allows you to jump back if needed. There will also be a shopping cart icon in the top right side of your page. This will also take you to the shopping cart or sales process chooser page.

Sub Step 1 - Enter the first couple letters of the customer name (ex: "s" or "sm" or "smith") and choose a type to help the search (any name, business name, last name, or first name). Once the results have been retuned, click on the "assign to unit" link.

If you are planning on selling the unit to another corporation and want some help from the application to stock the unit into the other corporation, use the bottom form if that option is available to you. As a hint on the cross corp sales - The cross corp search looks for a customer name that is the same as the other corporation name.

Sub Step 2 - Fill out the customer information to the best of your knowledge. This information will be recorded for the sale, used on paperwork, and printed on invoice and important documents related to the sale of the unit.

If you need to change the customer, click on the link at the top of the page that says new customer search. This will reset the page to sub step 1 or the customer search.

If you are selling to another corporation, you will have three more fields to record. They are:

21. Sold From Location - Choose a location from the list provided. It should be a wholesale location if available.

22. Choose Destination Location - This is where the unit will be sold to. To make it simple, this is where the unit will be stocked into. You will still need to switch corps and sell that unit out of the system once the sales process is complete. The sales process will help sell from one corp and stock the unit into the receiving corporation. Sales between corporations is somewhat of a double process but has been streamlined to help with the task.

23. Unit Saleprice - This will be the new base price for the unit when it gets stocked in. The actual basis of the unit will be shown to help make a decision as to how much to sell the unit for. The norm is to sell it for the basis but it may go up or down depending. If you make a change, you need to manually enter the numbers wanted and then submit the form for processing.
