	AU 2102		Daily Tasks	4/21/2014	• Posted our first client spotlight and client testimonial video clip online. The video clip is 3 minutes long and highlights Highland Vineyards out of Colorado. The video was edited by my dad. I also spent quite a bit of time working on permissions and drill-down links of the media/content project. Added the system part category to the sales tax by part category section. • Drove to Denver CO with my sister and one of the developers. Total mileage 1,651.7 miles. • Worked with Shawn on the vendor photo gallery.

	Shop 377		Working with Shawn on Payroll	1/2/2016	Shawn came over to my house. We got him new code base files, a new database, and updated tax tables from the live server. We also talked about some upcoming needs and we dipped into 1099's and W-2's. We also ran a manual report of sorts to help figure out commissions on payroll and who is using it. We have just under 50 clients currently running on the adilas payroll features. The commission was just under $300 a month right now. It was fun to see those numbers start to pop up and become a reality.

	Shop 385		Updating federal and state allowances & other tech support	1/4/2016	Uploaded and ran an .sql file that Shawn gave me for all new federal and state allowances. This is part of the payroll process and deals with calculating withholdings. Also did some clean-up of the elements of time for the shop. Trying to stay on top of things. Small emails and light tech support.

	Shop 451		Adilas Party	1/14/2016	Come to the adilas party - here at the shop. We'll have some pizzas to share. Bring something to share and we'll go from there. Kids are welcome as well. Notes: We had a great turn out. Dave Forbis did most of the planning for the event. We had Dave and his niece, Will and his wife, Garrett and his wife, Derrick, Alan and his wife and family, Bryan and his wife and family, Calvin and his wife, Shawn and his wife, Daniel and his wife, Chris Johnnie and his wife and kids, my family, my mom and dad, and Shannon stopped by for a bit. We had pizza and potluck goodness! Some of the guys played games (farkle), some watched a movie (national treasure), and some just chatted. Fun event!

	Shop 504		Working with Shawn	1/16/2016	On a phone call with Shawn. He was showing me some code that he was working on to dynamically populate a table with rows from a database. Basically, we would run the query and then populate it into a special function. That function would get the data and then allow us to dynamically loop over things without having to hardcode the HTML output. Pretty cool. This could be used for grid like updates of bulk data. The possibilities are many. The name of the function is GetMetaData and then you pass in the object. ColdFusion does the rest. Pretty cool!

	Shop 512		2015 tax updates	1/18/2016	Email updates and working on 2015 PDF's for 1099's and W-2's. I got files from Shawn and then I merged files, checked code, and pushed up files.

	Shop 575		Meeting with Shawn about payroll taxes	1/28/2016	On a GoToMeeting session with Shawn. We went over some of the new code and values for New Mexico. We also talked about Federal taxes and other states that are coming down the line. Shawn handed off some code to me to push live.

	Shop 576		Working with Daniel on the Beaver Mountain project	1/30/2016	On a GoToMeeting session with Daniel going over some needs for a custom report to show the Beaver instructors and their clinics that they have taken. We spent some time brainstorming and talking about where the data is coming from. We then started to do some light coding. Daniel had uninstalled some C++ code on his machine and it was affecting his Dreamweaver and ColdFusion stuff. We spent 45 minutes messing around with that. I was prepping some tax stuff from Shawn while Daniel was getting his system up and going. We then started working on some date manipulation stuff. I was trying to lead Daniel in the development process. We kinda struggled on what to do and how to get to the end goal. I gave him a homework assignment to figure out how to get the current month (starting date and ending date) into variables. I'm trying to help teach him how to think on his own vs. just waiting for me to help him out. It's ok, this is just part of the learning process.

	Shop 626		Working on payroll tax tables	2/2/2016	Prep work on pushing up new tax tables that Shawn had done. New changes for 2016 Federal and New Mexico state withholdings.

	Shop 668		Updating payroll tax withholding tables	2/4/2016	Updating payroll tax withholding tables for 2016. I got new files from Shawn Curtis for fed/state allowances, new federal tax tables, and state withholdings for New Mexico and California. Posted all new changes on all servers.

	Shop 671		Paying bills and looking over payroll withholding code	2/8/2016	Paying bills. I also started into a code sign-off session on some payroll withholdings done by Shawn Curtis. The new state withholdings were for California and New Mexico. Only got part way through the sign-off process. Ran out of time.

	Shop 679		Working on payroll pages	2/9/2016	Merging payroll files together for Shawn. Worked on the New Mexico state withholdings, California withholdings, and checking Oregon withholdings.

	Shop 772		Updatign database tax tables	2/17/2016	Running state tax updates for California. Installing Calvin's SQL Editors on all servers. Running updates scripts created by Shawn.

	Shop 783		Launching payroll files	2/20/2016	Launched new payroll pages to include New Mexico, California, and Oregon state tax withholdings. Checked files and sent a copy to Shawn Curtis for his records and usage. Other small checks and tweaks.

	Shop 661		Adilas Icon Project	2/22/2016	Worked on the logic for the dynamic money types settings for carts, invoices, deposits, and expense/receipts. Working with Bryan on some logic to get things in and out for both saved settings (stored JSON objects) and normal defaults (no saved settings). Shawn Curtis came over to the shop and we chatted a bit about payroll and state withholdings for Kentucky. We have a client that wants to get that state up and online as soon as possible.

	Shop 853		Working with Shawn	2/27/2016	Shawn came over to my house and we worked on payroll stuff. Shawn finished up some California and Kentucky state withholding stuff. We also worked on the new system-wide commission pages that pulled data from all servers to figure out commissions for payroll. We also talked about a growing need to help manage and help with code sign-off.

	Shop 967		Working with Shawn	3/8/2016	Working with Shawn on payroll withholdings. He is working on cutting down the main payroll page into smaller functions.

	Shop 969		Talking with Shawn	3/8/2016	Talking with Shawn about where things are headed and what role he will be playing there at the shop. He is trying to find his place and get into the swing of things. All is well, it will just take some time to transition over to how we do things now vs. how we did things back in the day.

	Shop 532		Brandon Coding Time	3/9/2016	Working on a new page to help show what database tables and record counts exist for each corporation. This report will be used to help with the data migration process. This is a prep step for the upcoming world building project. The goal is to get everybody off the buss (shared database environment) and get each company or group of companies using their own database. I also helped out Shawn and Bryan with different little questions on their projects. Shawn is doing payroll functions and Bryan was working on servers and doing a custom data import project for a client.

	Shop 984		Paying bills and general stuff	3/12/2016	Paying bills, writing checks, passing on logos, light clean-up on shop notes and schedule. Had a GoToMeeting session with Calvin going over cascading the web page id settings to all servers. On a different GoToMeeting session with Will on some new personal settings and looping over a list. Will is working on default shopping carts. Working with Shawn on the payroll commission reports. We had to add a number of flex grid records to our customer data to tie-in customers to corps and how much they pay monthly. The new report page uses those special tie-in values. 	Shop 608		Adilas world projects	3/15/2016	Working with Russell. We got pulled in a couple different directions. We were merging time template files to get our code and Alan's code to match up. I also had to jump out and work with Shawn on payroll, taxes, and cc swipe stuff. By the time we had finished, Russell and I did successfully get our code merged with Alan's code. We are adding in a number of new time template settings for default start and end times and show on the web settings. Also as a note, Russell has been working on some ecommerce things on his own. I've been helping him with questions here and there.

	Shop 1070		SHAWN	3/16/2016	Briefly met with Shawn on his projects. I had gone over meeting with other people. Not really able to jump in very deep today.

	Shop 1071		SHAWN	3/17/2016	Working with Shawn to go over existing state tax payroll withholdings. We went through 10-15 states and ran scenarios. Good session. As a note, we are seeing a possible need to change the layout for collecting some of the form field data. Some states use a special dependency or special allowance field. Other states just use the normal fed/state allowances. That part is kinda tricky and confusing.

	Shop 1074		API planning for my_cart_favorites	3/17/2016	Planning at the board with Shawn and Bryan for a new API change. The project was to take an existing API socket call that returned an array of inventory items and add some special pricing matrix details to it. We did some planning up at the whiteboard (wall) and then started building and prepping stuff. I worked with Bryan until 7 pm walking through the code and getting the my cart favorite button (smart group logic) into the array of parts or items.

	Shop 843		General stuff	3/29/2016	On a phone call with Steve while heading into the office. We chatted for about 45 minutes. We were going over new training and one-day seminar ideas. We want to get some more training up and going as we roll into Spring and Summer. Exciting times. Emails and documenting the Hypur 3rd party error logs. Sent an email to them with details on how to use the 3rd party error log tools. Shawn asked me to export some federal tax tables for him on his local machine. I grabbed live data and pushed it his way as a reference.

	Shop 1204		Hypur - Team Meeting	4/13/2016	Team meeting for the Hypur project. We will go over the projects and make the assignments. Looking for the following attendees: Dave Forbis, Brandon Moore, Shawn Curtis, Bryan Dayton, Alan Williams, Nick Vaughn, and Will Hudson. Notes: Dave ran the meeting. He had a bunch of topics on the whiteboard (wall). He had a small agenda, the projects were listed out, a few small details per project, a light time budget, and assignments. Dave did an awesome job. I loved it. Shawn did quite a bit of talking and did great in the role of lead developer. All of the guys seemed to be excited and the meeting went very well. I did some light training on team building and helped wrap things up and make connections. My favorite part of the meeting was watching both Dave and Shawn run with things. They did great. I'm really excited to see how this project turns out. This is a step into a bigger playing field. Good stuff.

	Shop 1220		Hypur tech notes with Shawn	4/14/2016	Working with Shawn on the tech notes for the Hypur Phase 2 projects. Tried to go into better detail for project A - new Hypur payment solution. Recording notes and brainstorming ideas on the project documents.

	Shop 1226		Working with Shawn on the Hypur Project	4/15/2016	Shawn came over to my house to work on the Hypur project. We worked upstairs in the front room (better natural light). We used a small whiteboard and pen and paper to take notes and do some planning. See photo gallery for some of the notes. Page 1 - We worked on a small flow chart of when and how the Hypur API socket connection would work and how they play into existing flow and processes. Page 2 - We talked a lot about options for locking down full invoices. We thought that it would be cool to add a couple new columns such as is_locked (1 or a 0) and locked_reason (why it is locked - Hypur, 3rd Party, Audit, Admin lock, ice-down date, etc.) - Shawn also had the idea to put an extra where clause on the updates that only allowed updates on non locked items. That would create a great fall back on the root or update level. - The other main topic was flagging and tagging data. The more we look at things, the more we are seeing more needs to be able to flag and tag items within the system. We need easy ways to flag things and then easy ways to search and pull reports based off of the flags. Page 3 - This page of notes dealt more with a task queue of sorts. We need a queue for the Hypur project but we could also use a queue for other internal adilas projects such as watchers, feeders, auto summing, stats, and gathering and collecting other information. We thought that it could be really cool if we had a web interface (load and unload the queue) and then have a full on software backend that could run longer or more processing intense pieces. Kind of a hybrid of sorts. See scan for some database ideas for the queue table. - Quote from Shawn - "Please help us as we are working to help other people have work to do." - a line from Shawn's lunch prayer. I liked it. - Part of the page has some notes about ways to organize and break things into smaller pieces. Think of Legos and building blocks. For example: basic pages (shells), black box access points for custom code, themes, skins, smaller component parts, world building levels, permissions (different levels), settings (different levels), cfc database and logic libraries, special page functions and player functions, watchers and feeders, documentation (help files or videos), histories and logs, real in-line database extensions, flags, tags, and subs. Also different data views and report types (calendar, time slot, horizontal, grouped, details, advanced - build & save your own reports), options for saving and exporting any data from any page. Page 4 - More looking into special flags and tags. Added some notes about special cases such as returns, vendor credits, customer credits, back orders, and general PO ordering processes. - We also talked about the task queue and being able to drill-down and see what is going on and what is queued up. We talked about a one-to-many between the queue and the action logs. We listed out a few of the possible queue action statuses - See scan for more info. Page 5 - Shawn and I took some time to talk about our process and how we want to treat and track our projects. Lots of funnels and sub funnels. There is a lot going on and lots of things to make sure and check. See the attached scan for a small visual of the brainstorming session.

	Shop 1231		Documenting things for the Hypur project	4/18/2016	Up early working on the Hypur documentation. I added some notes to previous elements of time that were dealing with brainstorming and such. Typed up some of the notes from a meeting with Shawn. Made two new diagrams using pen and paper to help show flow for the Hypur projects. Posted the new images on element of time id # 1133. Started working on the tech notes for project B - invoice lockdown project.

	Shop 1225		Meeting with Shawn About Hypur Projects	4/18/2016	Picked up Shawn for work. We started working on the Hypur stuff but both of us were too tired. We weren't being productive so we decided to bag it and hit it later.

	Shop 1255		Meeting with Shawn on the Hypur project	4/19/2016	Working with Shawn on the Hypur project. We were going over the need to help out with returns, refunds, and other branching (chicken foot) type concepts. It is crazy how quickly some of the different things branch and have multiple different routes. We ended up talking about funds, pain, and stress levels. I was struggling and having a problem. I think I'm kinda getting burned out. I'm ok, but definitely tired. Every piece of the puzzle just keeps getting deeper and deeper. It takes a lot of energy to keep everything going.

	Shop 1266		Meeting with Shawn on the Hypur Projects	4/25/2016	Picked up Shawn for work. We chatted about the Hypur project and how to get things going. I then spent some time doing emails and documenting some new projects that are coming in.

	Shop 916		Adilas world projects	4/25/2016	Working with Bryan on cart checkout logic. Also met with Shawn to go over progress on the Hypur project. Shawn was constructing an email update to Ignacio at Hypur. Both Russell and Dave Forbis were on a big conference call with some potential investors. Dave was doing the demo and answering some general questions. Then Russell jumped in and did some demos and took over the last half of the meeting. I spent my time floating between the different parties. Fun stuff.

	Shop 1216		Hypur Project - Team Meeting	4/26/2016	Team Meeting for the Hypur Projects. Looking for Will, Bryan, Shawn, Nick, and Alan. Notes: Shawn ran the meeting. We had all of the guys here at the shop. Shawn covered the whole scope or overview and how the projects relate to one another. We got reports from the guys and where they are at and what is needed. We talked about some concerns and got some stuff aired out. Great meeting and most of the guys seem happy and on task. I'm excited to see how this process will work and what we can do again and what needs to change for next time. Great leaning stuff for all parties.

	Shop 1117		Bryan	4/27/2016	Light help with Bryan's projects. Shawn was helping both Bryan and Nick on and off all day. That is really helping me spend my time in other places. I'm very grateful for Shawn's help in those areas.

	Shop 1292		Signing off on Hypur projects	4/29/2016	Full day of Hypur code sign-off. I met with Bryan for about 4.5 hours. We were working on the new Hypur payment solution project. Lots of new flow to handle a 3rd party payment solution. We got mostly done with Bryan's code. We had a page or two left to check. I then met with Alan for about 3 hours. We were working on the task queue project for Hypur. We got all of Alan's code checked off and merged into the master branch. We still have to integrate with the API socket calls, but the main task queue has been created and pushed live. I then met with Shawn for a couple of hours. We were talking about lessons learned and progress being made. We also talked about some hybrid shop options and how to best motivate the different developers and their different styles. Kinda some general HR (human resources) stuff.

	Shop 1296		More Hypur sign-off	4/30/2016	Working on more Hypur sign-off stuff. On a GoToMeeting session with Shawn. Gave him a couple files to tweak while I was looking at some other emails and files from Bryan. As a fun note, we went through a page and made a list of things that needed to be changed and then I passed the file to him to work on. Good stuff.

	Shop 1299		Going over stuff with Shawn for Hypur	5/3/2016	Shawn came over after hours and we worked on some requirements for Hypur. Change the time to 7 pm to 9:30 pm. We kept getting distracted by random family events - moving Tanner, scouts, scriptures, ice cream, etc. We did get a page or so of notes done on to do list stuff.

	Shop 1121		Bryan	5/4/2016	Working with Bryan on his Hypur project. We did some code sign-off on some of the new latitude and longitude pieces. Both Shawn and Bryan worked on the dynamic lat and long for the web API browser tracking stuff. We started into the refund process, but ended up bailing out of it because it had the wrong general flow. I turned the pages back to Bryan to rework the page flow.

	Shop 1143		Demo with Hypur	5/5/2016	Phone call with Hypur. Nick took notes. Then a phone call with Shawn and then Steve. Lots of things changing underfoot. See post it notes for possible changes and up sale options.

	Shop 924		Adilas world projects	5/5/2016	Shawn and I were trying to do some planning on Hypur. We ended up on a multi-hour meeting between Shawn, Russell, and myself on personnel and people stuff. Basically, we were talking about how to divide and conquer. I have tons of post-it notes from the meeting. Most it was dealing with how to we manage the shop, who reports to who, what are the expectations, and how do we hold people responsible for those actions. Here are some notes - no specific order: - Basecamp analogy - leave the maybe's in the air - focus on the definite's and the for sure's - we want to hit those.

	Shop 990		Brandon out of the office all day	5/6/2016	Shawn came up to my house. We were going over the Hypur project and doing some planning and documentation stuff. We went through projects A and B together. We then took a break and I worked on other emails and tech support stuff. After that, we got Alan on the line and went over project D - the task queue. We did a GoToMeeting session and brainstormed on what was still needed. Productive work session between myself, Shawn, and Alan. Hopefully the first of many like this.

	Shop 1338		Shawn	5/18/2016	Helped Shawn get his local database up and running for payroll and such. He had installed a different version of the database and it was missing 2016 tax values.

	Shop 1351		Hypur Demo	5/24/2016	On a GoToMeeting demo with Hypur. We showed them a number of new tweaks and feature requests. They still had a number of questions and made some more requests. We are slowly getting to the finish line. It is kinda frustrating because both parties are building and changing as things roll out and evolve. All in all, things are ok, we are all just getting done with this project and need to get it all wrapped up and finished. Alan, Shawn, and I were on the call. After the call we did a light recap just between us.

	Shop 1591		General	9/1/2016	Phone calls with Shawn Curtis, Bryan Dayton, and Will Hudson. All of these guys are independent Adilas developers. Each one is working on different projects and just needed a quick little session to help with flow and logistics. Shawn is getting started on some new projects. Bryan is doing daily specials and a custom shopping cart and Will is doing a multi-step process for tracking and destroying batched inventory (traceability and chain of command stuff).

	Shop 1626		Adilas time	9/8/2016	Went into Logan. Nick drove. We did a small video shoot and interview to help promote both Adilas and BATC Custom Fit (department at Bridgerland Applied Technology College that has worked with Adilas to help with training and such). Both Nick and Shawn were there for the video shoot. Shawn took off after the first part and Nick stayed around until later that day. Shawn was super tired from pulling an all-nighter from his other job. One of the video sessions was us simulating talking with clients. We used Gloria from Bridgerland (marketing), by the end of the video shoot, we were really talking options and pitching Adilas. She and a lady by the name of Heather Ericson had interviewed me earlier, back in September of 2011 or 2013. That was kinda fun. The actual interview part was kinda fun but kinda nerve racking. Alan and Nick and I went to lunch and then afterwards Nick and I worked on some more sub inventory updates. We also did a small session on working on the Adilas API sockets and documentation stuff. Totally different day than most other days. Fun but different.

	Shop 1451		Helping Shawn	9/22/2016	Shawn came over to my house to work on some projects and such. I was helping Shawn with his invoices (his accounting stuff) and some upcoming potential projects.

	Shop 1772		Bear 100 runners	9/22/2016	Getting Shawn setup to help with the Bear 100 CSV file for importing the runner data for the current year. Shawn prepped that file and got everything all setup.

	Shop 1798		Bear 100 update	9/22/2016	Switched gears and started working on the Bear 100 Race tracking application and website. Uploaded new runners, changed dates, and posted new files online. Emailed a quick update to key persons letting them know that some updates had been pushed up live. Shawn helped me prep the .csv file that had the new runner data.

	Shop 1854		API Meeting	9/27/2016	On a GoToMeeting session with Thad, Larry Lipman, Chris, Dave Forbis, & Shawn. Larry and his group are pitching adilas products to state and government agencies. They are wanting to setup a closed payment (virtual wallet type solution) that could be monitored and regulated. We went over some details and had some verbal discussions. See attached for some notes from the call. Some key words are: Expo, Alliance Financial Network, API socket connecdtion, white label, and virtual wallet solution. After the call, I talked with both Shawn and Dave separately to go over some additional details and what is wanted, needed, and who will do what. Good session.

Called and chatted with Bryan about a couple of projects - both old and new. Called and talked with Shawn about his role and how things are changing for him. He is looking to do more work for adilas vs. the other company that he was working with. Also did some recording of notes, clean-up, tech support calls, and emails.

Basically, an out of the box turn key type skin or app.

	Shop 2029		Phone call with Dave	11/30/2016	On a phone call with Dave Forbis. We touched base on a couple of projects and went over the plans on some others. Dave is starting to work more for Russell and Chris Johnnie doing research, project management, sales, and some marketing. He seems to be having fun and enjoying what he is doing. That is awesome. I also called Shawn Curtis and chatted with him for a little bit. We set up an appointment for this coming week. He has a bunch of payroll and withholding pieces that I need to get merged in.

	Shop 2026		Payroll stuff with Shawn	12/5/2016	Shawn was sick today. He called in and we chatted for bit. We will reschedule.

	Shop 2040		Adilas Time	12/6/2016	On a GoToMeeting session with Steve. We spent the whole time talking about ideas and future strategy stuff. We even bounced around adilas looking at reports, numbers, and small trends of what has been going on. That was fun. We ended up on an Excel spreadsheet playing with numbers and such. Nothing official, just playing with ideas. See attached for the sheet that we were playing with. It is kinda random and has notes all over it. See the tab called projections and the tab called Sheet1 for where we were playing. We kept going back to a quote by Shannon Moore about adilas - "The solution may need to be as creative and flexible as adilas is." We talked about employees, dependables, key players, dream it up as we go, make a plan, map it out, and setup the rules and cause and effects to allow things to play through (Steve related that to a game called marble drop - gravity fed with multiple cause and effect things). We then talked about the adilas family and what that means and is. We talked about the independent helpers, the full time family, and the people who help found and/or build the company. We talked about ownership, compensation, commissions, and percentages of gross revenue. We are looking for people who are good workers and are loyal. We would love to say there are more founders and key players that have help to build the adilas platform. Let's let the people who want to play, come in and play. We talked tons and tons about education, paid and non paid classes, certification levels, schedules, and venues for training. That could be big part of the business all by itself. We talked about getting Shannon some help with tech support and training. We talked about existing players and how we could cater to them and make a flexible plan for keeping them around and happily fed. We want those who want to play to be able to stay and play as long as they like. We talked about some of the pains and knowledge that we have learned along the way. Decisions, good, bad, ugly, etc. We want to push the ball forward. At the same time, it is ok to let it keep going and/or growing slowly (organic growth). Keep dreaming, building, and taking the try storming approach. It is ok to make multiple attempts and circle back again and again. Good stuff. We went over some numbers, ideas, and concepts of revenue sharing. We also talked about virtual adopting into the adilas family, requirements for being part of the family, and ideas on how to make things dynamic and flexible, yet still manageable and able to be evaluated. We even talked price tags and costs of what it would cost to get a really good lead developer/project manager person in place. Kind of a right hand guy for me and what I do. Lots of fun ideas and playing with numbers, percentages, projections, and pay levels. We are looking to make and create a fun and interactive game-type pay structure. It will have a little bit of a loyalty points, active requirements, and compensation for effort put in to help make things better. We are talking a mix between time put in, contribution, efforts, team player, hourly rates, base level salaries, revenue sharing, virtual ownership, etc. At the end of the session, Shawn Curtis, one of our developers popped in. I went over a few of the ideas and concepts with him. He mentioned that the profits are in the margins. Sometimes just tiny tweaks make it sing. Also, while I was talking with him, I was thinking that it might be good to keep building this process out over the next couple of years. Take our time. We ended with the concept of planning and mapping things out. As a funny side note, we started to map things out back in 2010. That process opened up a ton of the things we are working on and building off of right now. I'd love to circle back around and make a master plan for the whole system. If there is a plan in place, than others can follow it and be a part of it going forward. Keep it open and flexible but defined enough (sufficient for your needs) so that it has some structure. 	Shop 2071		Touching base with Shawn	12/6/2016	On a GoToMeeting session with Shawn going over his latest updates for payroll and tax withholdings. I also chatted with Shawn about what Steve and I were talking about in our earlier session.

	Shop 2042		Adilas Time	12/8/2016	Started off the day doing some clean-up and recording notes. I then started working on some new payroll changes from Shawn Curtis. Eric logged on to the GoToMeeting session and I helped him with some custom logic access points on a page that prints bulk PDF shopping cart labels. We got that finished and then pushed up the files to all servers. Shawn jumped on the GoToMeeting session from 11:30 to 1:30 pm. We started out merging files and working through payroll pages. We then switched gears and started talking about the future for time clocks, project time clocks, payroll tools, HR tools, and tracking sub payroll (tied to time). We also talked about recording mileage. I took a bunch of post-it notes worth of notes and scribbles. Here is what I got. - On elements of time, Shawn often records a location (for tax and mileage purposes) and what the task or project is. - Shawn would love to build a time clock feature that tracks mileage and is super easy to use. Kinda like Bryan's little time clock app. - Allow them to use a mini time clock feature - super simple and scaled back. Any special edits and/or other options would need to be done inside of the normal system. - Allow for departmental or department based logins and time clock options. This could be normal payroll clock in/outs and/or elements of time and project based clock in/outs. - Make sure and look at both Russell's time clock mock-up as well as Bryan's little time clock app. Maybe look at Toggle and even older adilas notes and ideas. Keep it simple. As a side note, this need has existed for years. If we think back, time cards and time clock stuff came right after stock/units back in the early 2000's (2002-2003 ish). There is still a need even today for more tools like this. - Add a small mileage tracker that could be connected to elements of time. It might be nice to either be used as a standalone project and/or an app that can be connected to elements of time. Make the connection to elements of time optional. - We need to allow settings per person for what projects to show up and how to sort and show those simple selection options. - Show the amount of time that has lapsed... - Use simple start and stop buttons. - On the mileage subs of time, tie to an employee name (payee id). That will make it searchable later on. - help search by person and show totals based off of a date range and/or a project selection. Basically, allow for some advanced search options for the mileage reports. - One of the main goals is to limit the number of clicks that a user has to make to get something done. Keep it super simple. Maybe even its own interface with limited functionality. - Simple buttons to clock in and clock out... We do all of the mapping and logic behind the scenes. - Setup a mini skin or something like it. Allow for departmental clock in/outs, single payroll clock in/outs, project clock in/outs, and mileage options. Make all of these pieces toggle on/off options that could play into the same interface if needed. Think settings and dynamic point and click setup. - Make a number of small and simple tasks. Use the power of adilas but make it look super simple. We could do this for all kinds of features and functions. This might be worth exploring and assigning small teams to build out certain parts and/or sections. - Make the look and feel super customizable (colors, placements, buttons, features, etc.). - What about sub flags and tags... That section is brand new and could help with things like sub phases, sub locations, or even different departmental levels for project time (x department charges $50 per hour and y department charges $35 per hour, etc.). That could be pretty cool to help track different rates. - Along with the comment on sub tags and flags... What about holding amouts, time sums (math on the start and end times), and even some billing and/or invoice options. That would be really cool. - On the mileage settings as a sub of time, setup a preset matrix so that you could enter common destinations and/or sub locations. For example, say I always want to record mileage from my house to the shop/office or from my house to my parent's house. It would be really cool if we could preset these values as round trip and/or one ways. This could be based from work, from home, from wherever, as long as it is consistent. - The matrix of sub locations and/or preset mileage settings could even have fields like: mileage alias name (generally what do you want to call it), a from location, a to location, one way mileage (value), round trip mileage (value), sort values (manual sorting option), and a status (active/show or inactive/hidden). These settings could be on a per person basis or on a corp-wide basis. Maybe even use JSON storage for the settings. - What about GPS stuff? We have the fields to hold those values. What if we used an app and got where are you? Where are you going? Where are you now? - What if we had full GPS stuff being tracked for super cheap. Think of a small phone app or something like that. Maybe a small app that piggy backs on a phone or mobile device and then used an API to talk to adilas. That would be pretty cool. - We could add up mileage, do point to point mileage, use full GPS stuff, or just allow for user entry into an open mileage field. It could be super techy or crazy simple. Lots of options. - What about billable hours? We already allow for sub dates and times to be pulled into invoicing. This has existed since 2011. What is the next level? What if we had ways of flagging things with some kind of invoice status and/or billing info. What invoice, is it billable, not billable, has it been billed, does it need to be billed, what is the rate, etc. Think of the next level. We could expand sub dates and times or we could build it into sub flags and tags stuff. - As Shawn was talking, I had the idea, what about cross corp billable hours. Say one company is working on a project for another company. Wouldn't it be cool if a small mini channel and/or tunnel could be made to bridge one corp to another corp. Basically, a user logs in to their corp and is able to make a small time clock record in another corps project. This would have to be permissioned, allowed, agreeded upon, and API socket based connection. Still, that would be pretty cool. - Think app enabled functionality. Think mini skins and/or standalone mini mobile apps. - Be able to quickly switch tasks, projects, etc. Minimal number of clicks. There may need to be a different admin page, but the main interface could be quick and fast. - Shawn wanted to make simple setup wizards to help do the settings and management stuff (admin/manger side). Easy to use and virtually hold your hand through the process. - What about the sub payroll functions and features. That was planned out lightly back in 2011 but has not yet been fully built out. The database tables exist, the ideas and concepts exist, but it has not yet been built out. Maybe it is time. We need to allow these new apps and settings to go all the way out to sub payroll. This could be for employee time clocks and/or project time clocks. Tie things up all the way along. - We will need an admin and payroll dashboard of sorts. This is where an admin and/or manager could get their reports and check on things. Quick reports, easy access, permissioned, and able to see and get to reports and stats quickly. - What about accruing payroll. Currently, that is somewhat hard to put your finger on. By accruing, I'm meaning what is building or amounting in the background. Imagine being able to see what hours and bills are mounting before they hit. Instead of a developer or another employee submitting a huge bill that you didn't know about, you could watch things grow as they happen. Think, what will need to be paid and/or what is value of project X or Y. - Along with accruing payroll and such... It might be nice to go into the smaller entries and do some math on them and store those values in the database. You could then pull quicker reports vs. calculating hours, minutes, and seconds on the fly. That can be a pain. Look into this as an option to help speed things up. - Take what we have already got and put it together in a new skin or interface or mini package of sorts. Most of the underlying pieces are already done. It just needs to be combined and wrapped up together in a cute little sellable, presentable package. - What about other HR (human resources) tools? Branch out a bit and think and/or ask what people need. People will tell you if you ask the right questions. - Map it out and then pitch it as a proposal. Think of the bigger picture. It might also help to think of both short term and long term options. - Dream it up, we'll help you wire it up!

	Shop 2080		Working with Shawn	12/13/2016	GoToMeeting session with Shawn. We were working through 2017 payroll and withholding stuff. I was working on a database update file and the new state_withholing.cfc file (bigger function and method to help calculate state tax withholdings).

	Shop 1995		Russell time	12/13/2016	Started out with some emails and tech support calls. Found a bug in the invoice sales report. The bug was reported by Charles Lawhon's Trailer world (long-time client). Fixed the bug and pushed up the new file to all servers. Started to work more on Shawn's payroll stuff. 2:45 - 3:30 pm - Meeting with Russell. On a Zoom session. We changed the name of the AFB Theme (new headers, footers, and custom CSS) to snow owl. We added some light validation and made some small look and feel changes. We then pushed up the files to all servers. Russell was also able to show me some new videos and how he is using adilas to run his own things. Pretty cool.

	Shop 2081		Working with Shawn	12/14/2016	On a GoToMeeting session with Shawn. We were working on merging all of his new payroll and tax withholdings code. Basically a work session while we were both on the meeting. We did pass some files back and forth to help each other get the latest updates. Kinda tag teaming on some changes to the pages.

I spent most of the day working on the new state withholding cfc and declaring the local variables. While I was doing that, Shawn was testing some of the new calculations.

	Shop 2099		Working with Shawn	12/22/2016	On a GoToMeeting session with Shawn. Going over his calculations for Maryland. They had 14 different taxing areas which would have been well over 1,000+ new database entries. Shawn figured out a way to get within a couple dollars (close enough) by doing some reverse/special math stuff. Pretty cool. I also paid some bills and made some small tweaks to the elements of time homepage. I added options to see and show daily details right from the calendar view. Also spent some time recording notes.

	Shop 2077		General & working with Shawn	12/26/2016	Working with Shawn on a GoToMeeting session on the customer queue project. We did some drawings, made some lists, chatted and even did some light code work and planning. The customer queue is a virtual waiting room feature of sorts (who is next in line?). We talked about project goals, ideas, and even how we could go about getting things done. Shawn took some notes and I tried to give him the ideas and thoughts that were running through my head. We spent about 2 hours on the details of that project. I passed him over some code samples and we are going to meet tomorrow morning to go over things again. I am trying to give him space to do things how he wants them yet still make sure that they get done correctly. I'm trying to focus more on results and outcome vs. behavior and process to get to the goal. I sometime struggle with that and tend to push people in the way that works for me. That could be both good and bad. Anyways, I'm on purpose trying and experimenting with how things work best for each developer and how they like to get instructions and direction. After working on that project, I switched gears and started recording older notes on elements of time in the shop. Transferring notes from old post-it note files into digital notes. There sure is a lot of fun things going on. I'm hoping to catch and record the story as it unfolds and develops. Good stuff.

	Shop 2122		Working with Shawn	12/27/2016	GoToMeeting with Shawn and Bryan. Working on changes for Beaver Mountain (limited flex grid, elements of time, custom reports). Helped Bryan with a custom tax problem. Chatted with Shawn.

	Shop 2063		Adilas Time	12/29/2016	GoToMeeting session with Steve, Nick, and Alan. I was doing my own thing and working on elements of time and tracking down the part status. Nick, Alan, and Steve were working on the state API socket connections. Those three were running without any of my help. I ended up logging into the data 4 server and did some light clean-up on the customer queue stuff. I deleted almost 500,000+ older records to help it run faster and smoother. We did a back-up and then started killing older records. We are hoping that will help speed things up on that server. I then called and chatted with Shawn and setup some reoccurring elements of time for some sessions and developer meeting times.

	Shop 2135		Shawn Time	1/2/2017	On a GoToMeeting session with Shawn. We spent the session looking over Shawn's progress on the project to split up the customer queue table into corp-specific tables. We have been having problems with that database table. We coded some logic and pagination stuff and did some light testing. Shawn was tired, he has been up all night working on new code, tax table updates, and what not. Good session.

	Shop 2136		Shawn Time	1/9/2017	On a GoToMeeting session with Shawn. We were looking and doing some planning on new overtime, normal time, and double time payroll calculations. We went through and recorded part of the session and then built up a small little text file to help with the project planning and quoting process. Steve was on the line as well and chimed in here and there. Also, as a side note, we have had three different developers in the last month or two come to us with questions about time cards, time clocks, and new overtime options and functionality. Interesting.

	Shop 2137		Shawn Time	1/16/2017	On a GoToMeeting session with Shawn. We spent the time looking around and taking notes on the customer queue section. We are planning on redoing the queue and making it corporation specific. We did some practice runs, sample code stuff, and I helped Shawn get some ideas and direction. Basically getting familiar with the turf and/or terrain. We made some plans to touch in two days and then again the next day after that.

We passed some files back and forth and made a plan for the coming week to test and push on the project. Shawn has done a bunch of database prep stuff to get us started.

I was going over the migration file and updating database code to talk to the new tables. Shawn was working on other projects and payroll stuff.

	Shop 2208		SHAWN	1/24/2017	On a GoToMeeting with Shawn. We were working on our own projects. I was working through the code to split the customer queue table. Going through pages and code changes made by Shawn. Kinda like a giant code sign-off and work session. Shawn's goal was to help prep things, not get the project fully done and tested. That is a different logic path than we normal go with, but I think it will work. Good stuff. Spent the last hour building an update routine to help with live migration and possible things that slip under the cracks. This is part of the database update page.

	Shop 2223		Migration party with Shawn	1/24/2017	On a GoToMeeting session with Shawn. He was clicking and migrating customer queue records from a big shared table to the new corp-specific tables. Meanwhile, I was working on a customer data upload for a new client. Tons of clicking. After I got finished, I helped Shawn migrate the rest of the customer queue data. We were non-stop clicking from 9 pm to 1:30 am. That's tons of clicks no mater what way you split it up. Pretty crazy. All files and database tables should be good to go.

	Shop 2232		SHAWN	1/25/2017	On a GoToMeeting session with Shawn. He was getting the Iowa state tax withholding stuff ready and I was working on the bulk print cart labels. We then got his new Iowa payroll files merged in and pushed up to the master branch. We pushed files live, ran database updates, and Shawn did some live testing.

	Shop 2278		SHAWN	2/1/2017	On a GoToMeeting session with Shawn. We were both working on our own projects for awhile. We then did some testing and merging for a PDF project that Shawn was working on. It was a federal 1096 annual summary report. We had to do some tweaking and printing to work with the data overlay. Back and forth and finally got it done. Pushed up new files.

	Shop 2224		Russell Moore	2/2/2017	On a GoToMeeting session with Shawn for a little bit. We were talking about payroll issues, logic issues, and user input and data issues. After that, I got on with Russell and we met over a Zoom session. Russell and I talked the whole time about our model and what we are and are not. There is a small disconnect between where we are headed and what we are vs. where we could go and who we really are. See attached for a bunch of notes.

	Shop 2300		SHAWN	2/2/2017	On a brief meeting with Shawn and on to more bulk print cart label stuff. Finishing things up and did some testing. Pushed up code and let key persons know about the updates. The piece that was missing was sub inventory attributes and custom mappings to top, middle, bottom left, and bottom right mappings. As a side note, I can feel that pressures are mounting. I've got a lot of my guys very busy and things just keep coming. It feels like another storm is coming... We are also seeing an increased sense of requirements and huge expectations. All possible but we don't have that stuff done and integrated yet. That adds to the pressure.

	Shop 2303		SHAWN	2/7/2017	On a call with Shawn. He is kinda stressed due to some PDF forms and getting the printing to line up correctly. We talked on the phone and I authorized him to go get some pre-printed forms for testing purposes. After that, I went in and did some bills and prepped some stuff to Shawn paid on his payroll commission stuff. I have to visit multiple servers to get all of the numbers.

	Shop 2306		Doing some quotes with Shannon	2/7/2017	More emails and monitoring the data 4 server. Shawn came over and we chatted for a bit. We are all learning tons of lessons. Hopefully, we'll figure it all out. I was not able to get with Shannon to do any quotes. Lots of emails, tech support, and text messages back and forth.

	Shop 2275		Shawn	2/13/2017	On a GoToMeeting session with Shawn. Working with PDF's and trying to remove passwords and other security features. We were trying to work on alignment issues for some government based forms.

	Shop 2252		Adilas Time	2/14/2017	On a GoToMeeting session with Steve and Nick. Shawn popped in for a bit as well. Our original goal was to make a quick fix on the price override switch for the add to cart page. We were then going to do some brainstorming on the changes we need for the email feature. That never happened. We spent the whole time working on the shopping cart price override option and feature. We'll have to hit the email stuff later on.

	Shop 2339		Working with Shawn on PDF forms	2/18/2017	Shawn came over and we were working on new PDF forms. We are having major difficulties with printing PDF's. We can populate the forms, super easy. The problem we are having is printing and alignment on digital overlays. We have so many variables between printer types, brand, margin settings, and even paper sizes and such. We talked about taking the overlays to a Flash level where we could control the _x and _y coordinates like we do on the check write system. We are seeing more and more needs to build out custom printing options. After that, we did a small session on the current email and communication problem we are having from inside of adilas (emailing invoices, quotes, PO's, and statements). 	Shop 2433		Black Box Project	3/2/2017	On a GoToMeeting session with Nick. We covered a couple different projects and such. They are listed below. 1. New custom project that is needed. From Dave Forbis. We spent almost an hour going over this project. Nick took notes while I read and explained the PDF that Dave had created. See attached for the PDF and see below for the sub notes from Nick. 2. We talked about a mini team with Russell. We would like to get a team of 4 players up and rolling. Russell would be the captain of the team, Alan - as the lead developer, Nick - developer, and Shawn - developer. We talked about how this concept is somewhat - wet paint here... just came up with this... Basically, Adilas will authorize hours, projects, and funds. 6 hours per person per week x $25/hour = $450 (we've told Russell that we have a $500/week budget for this pilot program). This equates to around $2,000 per month that we can run through this project team. These projects could be AFB projects or adilas.biz projects or Adilas Shop projects or custom. The whole adilas project and platform is really one giant project. We are taking a small pool of developers and trying to structure them into teams with captains and leads. The developers will be paid from adilas.biz, Adilas Shop, AFB, and from custom projects. We need to get in and see how this works. If we need to, we can tweak it around. Think of water, snow, ice. We are in the water stage. 3. We merged in about 18 new files for elements of time as part of the system-wide black box project. Good session.

	Shop 2421		Shawn Time	3/6/2017	On a phone call and then a GoToMeeting session with Shawn. He has been sick the last little while. We talked about 5 main things... 1. Working with Russell (new team stuff) 2. More state withholdings - we need to break up the CFC into at least two pieces. It is getting too big (over the max number of characters for a method). 3. Printing and doing PDF docs - What about looking into Flash for printing? This would be nice but we may have some time here. 4. New trailers docs - Fairly new stuff. 5. Email stuff - We looked us notes, I sent him a photo of our whiteboard session, and we got Shawn setup with FTP access to the adilas university site for email stuff. This is one of our biggest needs right now.

	Shop 2447		Shawn time and other general stuff	3/9/2017	On a quick call and GoToMeeting session with Shawn. We talked about the payroll 1099's and some printing options. We also talked about a small plan going forward. After that, I was recording notes and Steve popped in and had a quick code question on showing sub inventory and parent inventory items. After we talked about some things, I scribbled down some small notes from our chat. - We need to wire up the connections between sub inventory and the PO/invoice line items table. Currently, we have to run multiple queries to see if a line item has any subs. Not that that is bad, it just takes time and you can't easily tell what is going on. We may want to look into this and tighten things up a bit. Think about search options and speed that way. - I mentioned to Steve and that Eric and I were talking earlier and how so many crazy projects were all somewhat converging at the same time. I mentioned smart cart logic, sales and promotions, custom labeling, sub inventory (parent/child relationship), mini conversion, discounting, pricing tiers, loyalty points (special accounts), and other things. He added to the list... ecommerce and sales tax as also being more and more in the mix and coming together. - The reason that Steve mentioned sales tax is that I told him that Eric and I were planning on doing something similar to a user-maintained balance sheet item for loyalty points and gift card stuff. He made the comment that sales tax is very similar... almost a mini account of sorts. He then started talking about a special sales tax homepage, searchable database stuff (already summed entries vs. full transactional entries), the need to go to multiple decimals for taxes and withholdings, etc. Kinda interesting that I didn't even think of sales tax in the same boat as in-store credit or loyalty or gift cards but they are very similar. - This made me think about some old ideas we had back in 2010 dealing with watchers, feeders, and standalone declarations. I wonder if it may be time for that type of stuff to come into play. - As Steve and I talked about converging projects and how they all interconnect, he made the analogy of a steeple on a roof or a church. Lots of different angles and roof lines all coming in together. That analogy was fun to think about and added some depth to the converging concepts, ideas, and projects. I really liked how it could go up (be built up virtually) in order to make room for all of the pieces to match up and play well together. Kind like a capstone or elevated portion of a building. My original thinking was sort of flat. Don't be afraid to add some depth (settings, permissions, time, etc.) in order to bring everything together. Good stuff.

	Shop 2423		General	3/20/2017	On a GoToMeeting session. This was Shawn's scheduled time but I wasn't able to hear anything from him. I did some note recording, emails, and helped Bryan out with some sub inventory queries and such.

	Shop 2424		Shawn Time	3/29/2017	Shawn and I jumped on a GoToMeeting session. We talked about doing multi-file uploads for media/content (the pig server) as well as multi-file uploads for photos and scans. Shawn helped with both projects - media/content server and the photo galleries. That should be good to have him jump back in there and help out. We spent the last half of our session talking about how we have the pig server (media/content server) but haven't charged anybody for the virtual file and cloud storage that they are using. I started to build a small media/content report and then Shawn helped me tweak it out a bit. We added some dynamics to help with playing with pricing models for the overages and such. See this link below for the temp report. https://data0.adilas.biz/temp/monitor_media.cfm - as a side note, this same report is on every server (data 0 - data 7). Just change the domain name and resubmit the page. With the current storage values, we are pretending that we will give 500 MB as free storage. We will then charge $5 per 50 MB over the original 500 MB. We may have to up that and change the ratios, but just for fun, we ran our little report and the content server could be generating close to $8,000+ per month if we actually monetized the cloud file storage option. Anyways, we may want to take a look at that.

	Shop 2384		Adilas Time	3/30/2017	On a GoToMeeting session with Steve. We talked about tons of different things. I showed him some of the database things that Alan and I have been working on. Steve is trying to get a list of all of the adilas features together in one place. We have tons of pieces of the puzzle, they are just spread out throughout the whole system. Steve wanted to get some of the new table descriptions we were working on. We also talked about gathering up all of the features and making it available to the public. We talked about some wage increases for some our guys and a plan for that. We then rolled into some of the new reports and such that Shawn and I made yesterday for the adilas content server. We talked about our pricing plan and where things are going. Towards the end of the session, we just worked on our own little projects. I worked on fixing the master corporation list and adding in the new fields that would help us record up to four deep commissions, customer id tie-ins, percentages, notes, and a general monthly amount to base commissions off of. Steve had done some of the prep work, I was just finishing some of it up and such.

	Shop 2671		SHAWN TIME	5/22/2017	On a GoToMeeting session with Shawn. He had a question about doing some state specific calculations and code to help with the payroll part of the application. We talked about looking in the cost/benefit of adding the new code and settings. We will revisit this topic in a couple of days on another appointment.

	Shop 2652		Adilas Time	5/23/2017	On the morning GoToMeeting session. Wayne Andersen popped in and we talked about general files and folders and a general overview of the file structure. He was working and looking around. He had some good questions. Steve and I worked on some small elements of time stuff tied to sub inventory. We are just barely touching the surface of what elements of time could do for countless projects within adilas. I'm excited to see what happens there. As a fun side note, Steve was talking about how we could use elements of time to virtually create our own little sub processes and create our own timeline with checkpoints and process pods (user-maintained mini groups, pods, and processes). We would really like to define that for things like the concept of the digital data assembly line and such. Shawn and Steve got on and worked on Steve's new laptop. They were messing around with the display settings and screen resolution. I then started to jump back in on the planning part of the mini conversion project. I spent some time recording notes from post-it notes into the system.

	Shop 2653		Adilas Time	5/24/2017	On the morning GoToMeeting with Steve. We started into a light session being able to tie sub inventory to elements of time. This sent us off on a small little side venture. We had Shawn pop in for a bit and also Alan for a little bit. We tried to help those guys get what they needed for their different projects. As a small side note, we may want to bring in a history record for corporations, settings, locations, sub inventory, 3rd party solutions, and API sockets. The rest of the session was spent coding a new sub inventory report on the working with time and printable time pages. Trying to get things tied in together. That is awesome and part of the round 3 of sub inventory stuff.

	Shop 2672		SHAWN TIME	5/24/2017	On a GoToMeeting with Shawn. He was pitching an idea about how we could improve the general payroll functions. We are seeing a need to expand the payroll and payee to department options. The newest need is on the existing 5 custom fields. Currently they are only on the employee side and only for set dollar amounts. We may need to add two new options to each of them (10 new fields). It would be dollar amount or percentage (setting 1) and employee side or employer side (setting 2). This may need new fields and logic on the payee to departments table as well as the actual paycheck stubs table. We need this new info and logic on both sides. There are 3 known pages that do payroll calculations. There is also 1 page that shows and setups the relationship between the corps, payee/users, and the departments. The new pieces would be needed on those pages. We also need to cascade those settings to all other reports and year end forms. This also includes the paycheck summary reports and grouped totals.

	Shop 2848		Working with Shannon and Shawn	7/4/2017	On a GoToMeeting session with Shannon and Shawn. I worked with Shannon on a couple of tech support questions first. We ended up going out to the data 3 box and looking under the covers and into the raw database to figure things out. Shannon had a couple of questions so we bounced between the different subjects and had her take some screen shots and some notes. After that, Shawn and I looked at his progress to add some new payroll functionality to allow multiple other calculations based off of percentages vs. off of straight dollar amounts. Shawn has been tweaking things around and it is getting closer and closer. Looking good, it just needs a final sign-off and maybe some like detail work. In general, it was looking great.

	Shop 2920		Adilas Time	8/30/2017	On the morning GoToMeeting session. Steve was on early and then had to leave. Shawn came over and while he was getting setup, he had me watch a YouTube video on a guy by the name of Bob Ross. He was an impressionistic painter back in the day. He started out filling in the background and creating some depth. Very broad strokes and then worked more into the foreground and added greater detail. Very fun to watch and see how his painting came to life. I need to do similar things with adilas. Paint the background and sort of set the stage. Then as it comes forward, add more details and give it life. Sometimes I get too lost in the details and spin my wheels on things that might be better as an impression vs. the full details. Anyways, it will be a lot of mixing and blending and such. It was good to see his painting come to life using his technique of broad strokes leading into finer movements and detail as you get closer to the subject. We can apply that same principle to a number of our projects. Pretty cool. Most of the morning was going over the addCartLineStruct method (adding a new line item to the shopping cart) and working through the new tax settings, new calculations, and new inbound and outbound values. Lots of moving pieces.

	Shop 3078		Bear 100 tech support	9/29/2017	On a GoToMeeting session as the Bear 100 tech support person. Helping to get things started. While I was waiting, I did some payroll commission reports for Shawn Curtis and started working more on the sales tax expansion project. I ended up helping a little bit with the Bear 100 stuff and doing some light tech support. I modified one of the bulk entry files for them and did some light clean-up on a custom page for the Bear 100. By the time I ended the meeting, they had all of the starts, did not starts, and were receiving data from the first aid station. Also as a fun note, there have been 15 or so comments and a couple of photos entered by the runner support groups. It is fun to see how the data starts pouring in and bringing the site to life. Good stuff.

His project allows for up to 5 dynamic percentage based calculations to automatically roll into the paychecks and payroll part of the application. Paying bills and other small to do list items.

	Shop 3092		Adilas Time	10/11/2017	On the morning GoToMeeting session with Steve. We looked over some custom code for some barcode stuff and made a few tweaks. Steve was working on other projects and I was back on Shawn's dynamic percentage withholding project for payroll. We chatted back and forth and covered a number of different topics. Things are going good and we are trying to talk about and plan for the future and where things are going.

	Shop 3102		Adilas Time	10/16/2017	On the morning GoToMeeting session. We took care of a few loose ends and then started working on our different projects. Wayne from Portugal checked in on some data migration stuff and most of the session was just a work period. I was working on Shawn's dynamic percentage withholdings for payroll. Steve was doing other projects and checking some code that he and Bryan did for the new barcode values that allowed the users to enter a QR code value but use a simple barcode to access it. Pretty creative.

	Shop 3106		Adilas Time	10/23/2017	On the morning GoToMeeting session with Steve. We were talking about being a "broken man" (quote from Calvin that we all can relate to) and how the adilas model is able to help all of us who are playing. Pretty cool. Meanwhile, we were working on our own little projects and such. I finished up the payroll stuff for Shawn and started to get things merged and pushed up to servers. That has been a bit of a project that we didn't count on. The good thing is, it is done and live on all servers. We updated a couple of reps and people to let them know that it was up. Good stuff.

	Shop 3156		Adilas Time	11/6/2017	On the morning GoToMeeting session. Steve and I started out talking about funding and goals. We then got on with Calvin and Alan to go over the sales tax expansion project. We ended up having problems with GoToMeeting and switch over to a Zoom session to finish up. The entire time was spent trying to paint a good picture of what was needed and/or wanted. Lots of drawings and talking about things. At the end of the session, I got some calls from some of the other developers with a couple of questions. Light tech support for Shawn and Bryan.

Both before and after that, I was prepping files to help with merges between master and the sales tax expansion code branch.

	Shop 3395		Adilas Time	1/22/2018	Working with Steve over the GoToMeeting session. We spent the first hour going over budgets, decisions, etc. - We are a vendor not an investor. This means that we seek to sell our products and services vs trying to help build up other companies and do other things for profit. This may change later, but it is really important that we only run as fast as we are able. - Why do we have to pay to help a client succeed? Past and present clients - relationships and lessons learned. This was a talk about numerous clients that we have had to pitch in thousands and thousands of dollars to help make them go, get them going, and/or trying to help them be happy. We need to flip this model and charge for our services, where possible. - Custom developers and code writers and where is that going? It is a bonus to have people who can write code, build, and upload files and pieces. Who is managing all of those changes? Are we all going in the same direction? How can we help direct that expansion and those changes. - What about Chris and Russell with AFB (adilas for business)? Where are they going? They are very strategic which is good but also makes us watch them a little bit closer. - What about PHP and WordPress stuff? We talked a little bit about different coding languages and how those can work by themselves as well as with others. The world keeps changing. We also talked a little bit about both backend engines and frontend engines and interfaces. - Need for maintenance on some of the older code and features. The further we go, the more maintenance that is required. Someone has to help with the upkeep and maintenance. If we had the money, it would be nice to rewrite some of that older code and bring it all up to a certain level. In the mean time, we just keep doing what we can do. After talking with Steve, I spent some time writing some emails to the Canadian vendors about our role with helping them setup a white label of our product in Canada. We want to be in a vendor type role vs an investor type role. Hopefully it helps spit out what we are really looking for in the relationship. Shawn came over and we are trying to get some things done with the sales tax project. He is doing some small clean-up stuff on the project and also doing some of his own payroll stuff to fill the time. Brainstorming with Shawn about the sales tax expansion project. We got out a whiteboard and started to do some planning and explaining in an old school manner. It really helped to see things visually vs just putting things in writing. We defined a few things, drew some diagrams, talked about the what and why, and then moved from topic to topic. It helped me get a better understanding of what we are doing. Hopefully it helped Shawn get an idea as well. Good stuff.

Shawn was helping me with some basic concepts. - Think of base camps - Working from the known good - Build on the known good - Branch off of master and start a new branch per mini project We also added a couple mini projects to the list of projects... Here is the new list: 0. database prep and database updates (huge changes for this project) 1. in-line dollars off discounts 2. prep for mini conversions 3. going to 5 decimals of accuracy 4. mixed discounts 5. allowing or not allowing price changes and discounts on individual items 6. new dynamic names and aliases for all tax buckets 7. rounding error bucket 8. where items came from when being added to cart 9. new math on tax calculation (limit by category, before/after math, limit by customer type, 5 decimals) 10. new cart line item holding values (attributes within the cart line structure - session stuff) 11. alphabetizing certain structure keys 12. normal parts and items vs stock/units or bigger serialized items 13. Pulling all of the pieces together - deployment process and strategies (tons of moving pieces) We have tons of work that is done. We need to break things into smaller pieces and follow each project through at a time. The deployment and testing of each mini project is huge. It also helps us to focus on what needs to be done. Starting tomorrow, we are going to be breaking things down a bit and trying to get a handle on what is needed.

	Shop 3396		Adilas Time	1/23/2018	Logged into the morning GoToMeeting session with Steve. We went over a few updates and touched base on a few things. He is working with the Canadian's on some licensing agreements and building out the plant phases for elements of time (sub flags and tags - capable of doing sub phases and such). Shawn came over and Steve approved him to be put on at a 1/2% (0.005) of gross deposits. He was at 5% of those who used payroll, but this will be better for him and easier for me to calculate. After that, I pushed some of the main controller tables (data 0 as the master data set) back and forth between the servers and got all of the help files updated for the 2nd vendor stuff for both PO's and expense/receipts. After that, I worked with Shawn and we made a better plan for jumping into the sales tax expansion project. I broke the 13-14 different mini projects into about 5 basic steps. I then started going through and recording notes and info about the different projects and their phases. Trying to get the mother load broken down into bite size pieces.

	Shop 3400		Adilas Time	1/30/2018	GoToMeeting with Steve. - Nick came on and Steve got him lined out for Leaf Data stuff and new API socket connections. - Alan and Shawn came over - we are going to be working on the sales tax expansion project. - Steve had me merge in some of his new code. That took a little while due to some merge conflicts. - Copying the code bank for the sales tax project - Getting some files and such ready for Alan (db and files) - Planning with Alan - what is next.

	Shop 3423		Adilas Time	1/31/2018	Working with Shawn. He had some tax updates that I was looking over and Alan and I got him started in on the sales tax expansion project. He will be looking at stock/unit database changes and such.

	Shop 3489		Adilas Time	2/1/2018	Started out the morning working on some updates for the 2018 state and federal tax withholdings. Shawn did the code and I reviewed it and ran it on all servers. After that, Alan jumped on the GoToMeeting session and we chatted about the next steps. Alan wants me to do some additional planning to help with the upcoming new session values for phase 3 of the sales tax expansion project. We are still on phase 2, but prepping the field. Some of the other guys popped in and out throughout the session. Eric popped in and we chatted for a bit. Steve was at the bank closing on a refinance loan and then on the GoToMeeting session. Shawn came over to my house and was working on stock/unit database changes for the sales tax project. Alan was on the meeting most of the morning as well. Good stuff.

	Shop 3546		Adilas Time	2/20/2018	On the afternoon GoToMeeting with Steve and Alan. We are all having problems with our email system and I was doing some checking on that. Light tech support and follow-up. Steve and Alan were working on some bugs and custom error messages. Alan and I went back to work on the sales tax expansion project and working on the session scope changes. I then got a call from Shawn and he and I merged in some code for some payroll changes for some of the states. Kind of a crazy afternoon.

	Shop 3581		Adilas Time	3/5/2018	On a GoToMeeting session with Steve and Shawn. We got Shawn's local environment up to date so that he could do some testing on some of the new code he was writing. I then went in and recorded a number of bill and older expense/receipts. Emails and other light tech support stuff.

	Shop 3615		Adilas Time	4/2/2018	On the morning GoToMeeting session. We had Steve, Alan, Eric and I on the meeting at different times. Shawn came over to my house part way through as well. Eric, Alan, and I were working on the sales tax expansion and rounding error stuff. Steve was doing his own projects and Shawn was working on county specific payroll stuff for the state of Indiana. Mostly a work session today.
