-What if we allowed users to create their own permissions or roles and then allowed them to assign them at will. For example: Say you have a salesperson and you have figured out what permissions they need. It would be cool if you could bulk assign those permissions or do a soft copy of the permission. The other part to this, set in the future, would be to show all possible actions for one or more permissions and let the admin user sub select from all of the choices. This is almost like breaking up a normal permission into all possible pieces and functions. This gets into a very detailed level. • Revive the old deal calc page. Due to old information, such as stock numbers, decided to make a brand new deal calc form. (The old form was from 2002/2003.) |

-On saving custom reports – old mend and repair, what if we did a big one to many and allowed any existing report in the system to be saved. The main values would be report name, page name, assigned to and status. The many would be the report id (tie-in), variable name, value and status. We would then be able to pull the reports and then set the correct criteria or just run the reports and look-up the values on the fly. This would be really cool, instead of making a whole big brand mew super report, we just harnessed all the existing reports. All we would have to do is pass a special saved report id number and then have the report pages look-up the values and play accordingly. That would be a huge time saver. Along with this, we may need to add special date presets or date keywords. We could then dynamically figure out those dates by having a global function that could interpret the key words. Things like today, yesterday, tomorrow, this week, last week, this month, last month, next week, next month, ytd, or “prompt” for custom date range. - Steve would like to see more stats on the reoccurring invoice homepage. How much will be invoices, how much has been invoiced, etc. - Add a default time template to all corps, make it part of adding a new corp and make sure to go backwards for all existing corps. - Add a default bank to all new corps. - Bury the sales and profit reports under the real sales and profit report permission #116 vs. old 59. Also, possibly hide profit on advanced invoice line item search if there is no admin permission. |
