Logic for submitting “rules” to the database for smart groups: - We need to format to a specific decimal level. All values will be forced to that specific level and then converted to five decimal places (for storage). - Each rule set will use the same master decimal place setting. - The main rule is that it must start at 0 and end at 99,999,999.99999 (or the current decimal level 2-5) - Ideally, there are no gaps allowed… however there may be small (mini) gaps because of decimal accuracy levels. For example: 0.00-25.00, 25.01-50.00 (2 decimals) vs. 0.00000-25.00000, 25.00001-50.00000 (5 decimals) (small gap but relative) (gap of 0.00999 or almost 0.01) - There is a minimum of 1 record (0-99,999,999.99999) and no max as long as they all follow suit. - If no end or max is given, we need to fill that in (help finish). - How do I check for gaps and over laps? - We need to handle both adds and edits. Any edits that don’t pass validation, mark as inactive and update the start and end value. |

-We had a request to be able to export the P&L to MS Excel. That might be a little tricky but possible. -We need to be able to fully delete (forever) the my cart favorite buttons. Maybe in the bulk sort and add/edit page – add an option that says “remove”. If selected, we change the corp and payee id’s to 1 and virtually hide them forever. -Steve had the idea that maybe a customer log could have a special call out or show-up flag. Make it show-up until turned off. -We need to show PO payments and PO’s that have been forced paid on the history homepage. |

How to show the smart group assignments – form for submitting values: Part number/Qty. on hand/Quantity/U of M/Price/Description/Links How to show the possible smart groups when viewing the part #: Other ideas for expanding the smart group rules and assignments: 1. Allow for a filter when showing assignments that would allow for a bar code or part # (4-way or 5-way filter) to be used. 2. Show smart group buttons or their pre-filtered (above) options on the view parts page, advanced add to cart page, edit cart page (both basic and advanced), and maybe an add to invoice page (for after the fact sales). 3. Be able to process more than one smart group at a time. (If only showing a single part.) Basically, pass in a list of cart id’s (button id’s) and do a loop. This deals with pages listed in #2 above where a user wants to add multi to an invoice or a cart. An example might be: 10 at price XYZ and 100 at price PDQ. 4. Harness the smart groups as if they were added singly to individual parts. Build once – use many. |
