1:00-1:30 Uploading training videos and tech support for a developer who is trying to use the customer facing API for parts and general inventory.
2:15-6:00 went into Logan to work. I worked with Bryan on his code for the Prescott Gun Club. We spent lots of time going over the flows and doing some clean-up. I started working on the Beaver Mountain quote and got pulled off to help with tech support and other conversations. Lots of help is needed withe the Adilas API. 30 miles.

10:15-10:30 On the phone with Keith going over things. He really wants an automated notification system that deals with steps, phases, and statuses of an invoice. I know it is needed, I just can't get to it right now. Both sub phases and sub locations would be awesome to add. We need them for elements of time as well as for all the other main player groups. Lots of good notes on this subject from October 2014 (last year at this time). Good stuff.
10:30-5:00 Went into Logan. I spent the first hour getting Nick setup on a new code check project for Emerald Fields and their eCommerce stuff. We did some FTP stuff, some database stuff, and bridged some permissions. Nick worked on that while I worked with Bryan on some more clean-up on his Prescott Gun Club waiver and signature application. Bryan and I worked about 3 hours on his project together. I them did some work on some API socket connections and such, Chris Dunsey came over to the Shop and we had an hour long meeting. We talked about FTP (File Transfer Protocol) and how to secure some things up. We also did some catch-up and went over some fun memories and history of whats go on in the past two years. Chris was one of the original interns from back in October of 2013. Now Chris is a full blown lead developer and runs his own development projects. It is kind of fun to see how far these guys go and can go. That is fun to be part of that. Chris still does some small projects here and there for us. 30 miles.
10:30-11:00 Recording hours and trying to get caught up on stuff. Life is going at a super fast pace right now. I keep hoping to catch up (:
11:00-12:30 am Checking off code for a company called Hypur. The original code was done by Adam Tew.

Shop 2959 General 10/22/2015   10/22/15
9:00-10:00 On the phone with Steve. We talked about plans, developers, and where we want to focus. We keep coming back to the train track and railroad analogy. We just want to focus on and own the tracks and train. We don't want to own the market, the hotel, the bank, the school, etc. We want to focus on the data, storage, and processing. All of the other services are up for grabs. Also, we want to make sure that we keep an open model for that allows for a Hybrid shop. Search other notes for some ideas on the Hybrid Shop and Hybrid developer models.
10:00-10:30 Writing out bills, checks, and invoices.
11:30-12:30 Tis is more for the record vs. actual time stuff...I went into town to have a meeting with Bryan and Garrett for lunch. I was anticipating a business meeting to talk about the shop or talk about issues or something. When I got there, we met a Pizza Pie Cafe, there was a bunch of the developers there and they had already payed for my plate. We had a fun lunch party instead of a lunch meeting. The people who were at the lunch party were: Garrett, Will, Dave, Russell, Bryan, Nick, Lincoln, and my self. That was really fun.
12:3-3:00 working with Calvin on his bar code project. We also went over a driver license scan and parse (split-up) feature. I then worked with Garrett on some sub inventory logic and how to virtually draw a line in the sand between tracking inventory on a parent item vs. tracking inventory on a sub inventory level. After that, I met with Jared and my dad about tracking scrap items and selling things online. I then worked with Jared to see some of his YouTube video cataloging that he is doing. We talked about direction and returning and reporting on progress.
3:00-4:00 Recording notes, helping developers, trying to get caught up.
4:00-4:15 Working with Russell on some graphic layouts.
4:15-5:30 Emails, tech support, and signing off on code for Adam and his Hypur project.
5:30-7:00 After hour meeting with Dave Forbis to work on some quotes. We had a good session and even talked about some future direction from with the shop. Dave has some been a great internal leader and an awesome sounding board for me. I really appreciate all of his help and efforts. We finished the quotes and started talking about leadership and service. Dave has a ton of knowledge in those areas. 30 miles.
10:15-11:00 Finished up on the quote for Beaver Mountain Ski School. They want an online class registration process and application for their ski and snowboard school. This will be time and service based on eCommerce with elements of time, customers, invoices, and special mapping between classes and part numbers (services). It will also use the flex grid to tie things together.

Shop 2961 General 10/23/2015   10:30-4:00 Went into Logan to work. Spent most of the morning working with Bryan on his logic for Prescott Gun Club and signing and saving PDF's with signatures. We also went over logic for subs or additional waivers. Lots of page flow. I spent quite a bit of time with Russell going over a sales pitch back to Adilas. Russell and Chris Johnnie are looking to pitch ideas for helping Adilas with Sales and marketing stuff. Very interesting conversation. We talked about he railroad analogy, open real estate around the tracks, options to franchise ideas and concepts, stacking layers, barriers to entry into new markets, and planning for checks and balances. Part of the conversation was me pointing out good parts and pieces of Russell's pitch. I'm trying to help him succeed, even though he is virtually pitching me. I had a lot of fun and loved to see his vision and determination. Anyways, I really enjoyed the meeting and elements that are currently in the process of being planned. Very exciting. I also helped Daniel and Jake on their GPS project and wire job as well as Garrett with some custom reports. 30 miles.

11:30-12:00 Emails, checks, and fixing some runner data on the Bear 100 race at the request of the radio guys and the main race director. I documented things and uploaded some photos and scans for documentation. Trying to record the story.
1:30-2:15 Recording notes in my notebook. I currently have about a month's worth of notes on loose pages and post-it notes. I've been so busy that I get behind. I'll try to get them transferred over to the main notebook here very soon.
2:15-4:45 paying bills an scanning receipts and invoices. Light graphics clean-up for the Adidas world graphics. Posted the new version online. Worked on some code sign-off for Adam's files for Hypur. They are a 3rd Party that collects invoice information to help with compliance stuff.
9:45-12:00 am Signing off on code and prepping for posting new shop files up and online. Fixed a couple of small bugs. posted new files online and did some testing. The new code has the new CSS presets, new icons, and uses the newest black technology that we have been working on for the past couple of months. only had time to get the code up and online for data O of the main adilas.biz site. I'll catch the other servers on Monday morning.

Shop 136 Bryan 10/26/2015   Talking about the issues that arose from the Adilas Shop Monday morning meeting.

Notes - We did a lot of brainstorming and used up the whiteboard numerous times. We are talking about ownership of the shop, dividends, and future options for the shop. Basically, adilas has a need to get internal projects done to make a virtual bullet train (fast and smooth project). In order to get there, we need to build some of the internal pieces out (adilas engine).

We talked about setting a future date and seeing what we can kick back to the shop to help it float and succeed. We also talked about the adilas shop helping out with the tick list that is contained in the "developer's notebook" that Brandon has kept.

Shop 137 Complex Projects 10/26/2015   Need to discuss taking on a more difficult project.

Notes - Nick, Will, and I met to go over an email that was sent to Will. It dealt with image sizes, code details and letter cases, splitting up the black box pieces, and some changes to the shop/page.cfm file and how to call and use it.

Will has a good handle on things and we even talked about him pulling code from the server and comparing it to his code on his branch. When done, he will push up his new code to the data 3 server. We may need to get him FTP access to get that done. Good Meeting.

Invited:
Calvin Chipman
Daniel Swainston
Brandon Moore
Jake Vaughn
Dave Forbis

Notes - We met and went over things. Daniel did the demo on his machine and all the rest of us watched and chimed in as needed. We determined that we would use locations for the trucks instead of the general person field (just text). We also went over some other small changes and other tweaks that are needed. The guys are doing great and we set a tentative completion date of 11/9/15. We have a joint meeting with Calvin Chipman tomorrow to talk about the actual GPS portion of the project.

Shop 154 William Bates GPS Project 10/30/2015   Go to meeting session with Calvin to discuss gps functionality.

Notes - Daniel, Jake, and I met with Calvin over GoToMeeting. Most of the demo was done by Calvin on his computer. We bounced out to the adilas content server and then into code. Most of the upcoming changes will be dealing with the Google API and different map functions.

Basically, we have some more wiring and then creating the map mash-up to make it work. All of us got files from both Calvin and Bryan Dayton. Calvin's code deals with the main GPS demo and database stuff. Bryan's code deals with pulling out the latitude and longitude from a single Google map. Anyways, we all got some code and should be ready to go.
